Living in the Eyes of This Man
If you see through my eyes
And look deep in my soul
You will see that my heart is
Thicker than any brick of gold
My friends give me strength
Puts the world on my shoulders
I walk around with that chip
As the weight builds over
The trust in life that I create
Makes me feel the blessing
My honesty kills me at times
A knife into this single life
In life’s darkest hours
I will take your hand with me
Clench it and never let go
The glue for just me and you
Money can buy many things
The value of my friendship
Is priceless to any dollar
That flashes in front of me
Smile that perfect smile
I will frame it with my eyes
Picture you all day and night
With a flash from my mind
Living in the eyes of this man
See through my surface pains
Journey to the end of time
Forever I will be yours
And you will be mine
A Dove in the Sky
I am a dove in the sky
I live in the trees
And in the clouds
I am warm in the winter
And cool in the spring
Humans look at me
Treat me as a precious something
They say birds of a feather flock together
But for me
No matter the feather
They flock with me
I am happy and sad
I can be excited
I can be moody
There is always a time for work
And a time for play
I love the humming of music
The sweet melodies of the country
I live in the city
And wander in the forest
I am a dove
Friendship is my specialty
I am as smart
