For you,
who wants to hear
the voices of special moments.
Warm Welcome
Dear reader,
Poetry surrounds us everywhere. We can find it in songs, advertisements, our heads, and of course in this collection. It is filled with mindful observations, and encouraging thoughts.
In addition to my books and articles about joy of life, I have always written poems and essays. I love to capture moments, that need attention, and write about everything that interests me at the moment. Over the years, I wrote so many poems that I lost track, and I wanted to collect them. In 2017, I received a residency at the Soltau Artist House in northern Germany with a focus on poetry and took the time to find my work from different years. It took a while to complete, but it led to the creation of this collection.
Both reading and writing poetry liberate the soul. Whether it's a moment of sadness, injustice, or happiness, they all find a voice here. With a poem, we trace the feelings that we have in certain situations, and they can work inside us. Overall, a poem can convey messages and awaken its own feelings, associations, and conclusions.
The work are from different times in my life and provide a wide range of themes. They may possibly be a helpful resource for you, dear reader.
I hope you enjoy reading.
With warmth and cordiality,
Dörthe Huth
