FOREWORD
‘SUMMONED BY THE KING"
For days the king has whispered for his son to come home,
A promise of his own princedom, and one day a kingdom of his own.
Bringing his spirits to new heights, filling his heart with a vision,
His Lord has sent a princess to aid him in his decision.
Summoned by the Lamb to minister and shepherd those in need,
Lord, am I deserving of this? Can I be the one to lead?
At night I pray and plead for the wisdom to discern,
I have so little knowledge and so very much to learn.
Fear not my son, have heart. I am with you everyday
,
If I am preparing you to lead, I must first show you the way
.
How blind I must have been to all the gifts within my grasp,
I have been given all the tools I need, what more could I ask?
I thank you for salvation and sacrifice on the cross,
I know our life was only gained by pain, suffering and loss.
I praise you Lord for bringing me home before it was too late,
I asked you to complete me, please provide me my helpmate.
I pray for your forgiveness of all the sins I bring,
I don’t know what delayed me,
When summoned by the king.
Amen.
INTRODUCTION
Why this book?
This book is God’s revelation to me of His Sovereign design for covenant between a Man and a Woman. It is my expression in words of the dreams, hopes and expectations of this divinely promised love.
As Men it is often considered unmanly or soft
to express love this way, but I assure you that is not the case. A man who is in covenant with God can’t help but to express his love the way that God does. We see the manifestation of his love daily, sometimes in miracles, signs and wonders. But even the beautiful sunrise, or a baby’s smile resonate as expressions of his all consuming love for us. We were created for this. I dedicate this book to my wife Cecilia, the object of my affection.
