Emotional Strengths and weakness
Chapter one, Emotional Strength and weakness, what is an emotion and emotion is a physical expression of the feeling which we experience. What is emotional strength? And emotional strength is defined as the ability to respond in an open and vulnerable way in the face of intense emotional experience feeling once we're deeper into the emotion which allows access to implicit functional processes driving action.
In simple words, emotional strength is the ability to respond in the worst situation without considering your own emotions and considering the emotions of others. What emotional weakness. Thus, you can see everywhere around you, you can find so many people who are emotionally weak. It is like a person tends to expect empathy from others for almost everything. We can assume that person is emotionally weak. Now we will discuss a few emotional strengths and weaknesses. So let's discuss three main strengths, a cool headedness and ability to remain calm. We desire to solve problems as they arise and see diplomacy and ability to listen to others opinions.
We'll discuss the point, a cool headedness and ability to remain calm. This is a state of mind that we need to manage to balance our emotions while approaching any information containing negative impact. If it's a major issue which is affecting the workplace personally or even the organization, we should give some time to give a thought without providing any immediate response. Definitely, this will take time to get deeper to the issue, understand everything, and then we can go ahead for a response or an action in a much peaceful and authentic process. Point B, desire to solve problems as they arise. This is very important. The intention is really to create a peaceful and joyful work environment. Whenever a problem arises, we should prefer to resolve the issue initially itself, as it will be a tough task to solve the issue if it passes for a longer duration. Diplomacy and ability to listen to others opinions.
It is very important to welcome suggestions and ideas or opinions from your team members, this should be handled diplomatically as we will not be able to adhere to all suggestions and opinions. The team member should never have a feeling that his opinion has been neglected. Now we will discuss three main weaknesses. A, disappointment and unhappiness, b, dislike, c, fear and embarrassment of guilt point, a disappointment and unhappiness, disappointment and unhappiness occurs if there is any failure in plans and also found any unethical practices by a team member, which will affect the productivity and emotions of the rest of my colleagues. Point B dislikes. This emotion comes up mainly if any team member is too judgmental of us and spreads negative feedback or information among the colleagues and business associates. This generally happens if we need to take our undersigned decisions due to corporate pressure against our intrusions. Now, you have a better understanding about what exactly are the emotional strengths and weaknesses? Emotional intelligence skill is an essential quality of a successful leader, a leader should possess entire control over emotional strengths and weaknesses. The variable emotions can lead to making irrational or impulsive decisions in the workplace, which might cause severe damage to the organization and the team. Leaders and managers have a powerful influence on others in the workplace. They should have a proper understanding of their strengths and weaknesses as an uncontrolled emotion or a negative behavior could drain the energy of your work colleagues.
The way that managers handle emotions and the workplace has a direct impact on team performance, and an enthusiastic and empathetic manager will create an energetic atmosphere among the team members. They will be free to share their views and ideas and result in group decisions and an efficiency of the proposed project, OTUS. An emotional bonding in a workplace enables you and your team to remain focused even in between an organizational change. In this chapter, you have learned what is an emotion, what is an emotional strength and what is an emotional weakness, and you also learned how a manager should be in a workplace, what kind of an approach he should initiate in a workplace and have learned what an emotional intelligence and how it was used.
Now we have given you a few exercises so that you'll be well versed with this chapter. So the questions are, number one, define emotional strength, number two, define emotional weakness. Chapter two, identifying your own emotional strengths and weaknesses, identifying your own strengths and weaknesses gives you a better understanding of yourself and how you function. Identifying your weaknesses gives you a clearer understanding of things that may be holding you back and do work out and focus to convert your weaknesses to strength. What is the relevance of identifying your strengths? What is the relevance to identify your weaknesses in the contemporary world?
People don't tend to change, or they don't want to accept that they have these kinds of weaknesses. They have this kind of strength. And moreover, the people always used to highlight their strengths. Only so will we discuss the relevance of understanding and identifying our own strengths and weaknesses. It is always better to understand our strengths because we should develop our strengths more that will provide us the maximum success in life. The relevance and importance of identifying weakness is that our weakness can set us back in different areas, in our profession, in our personal life.
Everywhere it can take you back might end up in a as well. So here you should identify and understand your weakness and develop your weakness and convert it to your strengths. And you have a question. Why is it important to understand our own strengths and weaknesses?
WorkPlace Stress & Stressors
Chapter three, Workplace Stress and stresses workplace stress generally occurs as an after effect of the demands of a job that does not support the resources, needs or abilities of the employee. There arises some unnecessary stress as well, which might be due to the emotional weaknesses of any employee, which may adversely affect the productivity of that individual or team. Workplace stressors can cause physical, chemical or mental responses inside the body, affecting mental function and performance.
It is a manager's responsibility to identify and resolve the stressors which can be harmful for health and an overall expected output of the work done. Now we will discuss a few workplace stressors, number one, inability in time management. Accurate time management is important while scheduling tests a thorough knowledge of the task as required while working on deadlines. A lack of time management skills will result in unfinished tasks over deadlines and will build up pressure. Number two, overcommitment of predicted commitment of projects should be done considering the workforce, resources and time scale, scaling back to back projects might end up and delay increases and compromise on quality due to the stress.
Number three, lack of proper information or data. Lack of required detailed information or data on a particular task will result in a confusing and irritating work atmosphere, no full organizational restructure. Organizational restructure or change, which is not managed and communicated to the team, will have an adverse effect on the team's confidence. Number five, worries on issues. The thought and worries on process arise in an organization will make you lose focus on the task to be done. So these are the vital points which you need to take to a white workplace stress, No.
One, inability in time management no to overcommitment of projects. Number three, lack of proper information, no data, no full organizational restructure. No. Five, worries on issues. These are the vital points, what you need to work out to avoid the workplace stress and stresses.
