Rocky Flintstone

Rocky likes to write in the sun and with a glass of wine in his hand, nothing makes him feel more at home. Based between North East Brazil and Andalucia in Spain he gets to grips with his stories, bringing them to print for his loyal readers who are split equally between those who love and those who hate the books... but as Rocky says, 'bring it on...' Warwick said... 'So appallingly written that it almost goes full circle:... one star for this – but in many ways, a star more glorious than the constellations of far greater works of literature.'  Sarah said... 'What a great find! I had been looking for a how-to that struck a chord with me for some time. What better role model for a young woman looking to make it in the business world than Belinda, a strong, empowered career woman headed straight to the top of the pots and pans industry. This manual includes helpful tips on business attire, negotiation techniques, and teamwork building. A must-read for managers and employees alike.' Belinda Blinked; Belinda Blumenthal's Business Tips for Go Getters; - Rocky Flintstone

    Foreword;

    By Sir James Godwin;

    Chairman, Steele’s Pots and Pans;

    ––––––––

    Flintstone approached me a year or so ago asking if I’d write a little something for the start of a business pamphlet he was working on with an ex-employee of mine, Ms. Blumenthal. Naturally it would have been churlish of me to refuse, even though my parting with Ms. Blumenthal was not on very good terms, and here we are. Now in writing such a missive I decided to take good advice and as such invited the remnants of the Glee Team to the Pentra for afternoon tea and a brainstorming session. Needless to say, it was a complete waste of time. No one brought a flip chart and Giselle insisted on playing with her brassiere. Bella sent Donna in her place who didn’t contribute a dam thing. I say remnants, because Blumenthal has been fired and Maeve is in a US top security prison. Hrrmmph, need I say more?

    Needless to say, once the tea and cream buns were eaten and the Gin and Tonics started to flow things improved... for instance, Bella turned up and sent the ineffective Donna back to the office to find her missing love bullets.

    I then asked the girls their thoughts on how a business such as Steele’s should be run. The overall point that was quite forcibly made to me was one of friendship and professionalism. Personally, I like to think this is the essence of Steele’s with the Glee Team being a prime example. Now I am the first to admit that at times their techniques can be quite risqué but I always know that the job will get done... somehow.

    Professionalism is a word bandied around quite a lot these days and I have to note Mr Flintstone and Ms Blumenthal ignore it completely... mind you to be completely honest I’ve only read the chapter headings... however my good pal, Clarence the Duke of Epsom, got stuck into the chapter on Self Belief... and then we had to go to his club. Hrrmmph, never mind how that ended, let’s just say he ran out of lipstick...

    The disappointing thing to me about Mr Flintstone and Ms Blumenthal’s book is its lack of long words... all academic books on business practice should be littered with these gems. But no, they are sadly missing. The Glee Team didn’t agree
