    ~Chapter One~

It was just your average day, or so it seemed. Daisy Sinclair was running late as usual. She tried to be on time but something always got in her way. New York City was a hard place to maneuver, and being from a small town in Pennsylvania didn’t help any. As Daisy ran across the street, taxi cabs honked but she just smiled. Her boss, Mr. Craydon was going to be very upset with her. How was she going to explain this one?

Finally, she saw the building as it was very hard to miss. Craydon Events Inc. stood massive among all the smaller businesses. The company was fifty years old,and still the place to go for all events, parties, and convention planning. Daisy felt very fortunate that at the age of twenty-four she had landed such a wonderful job. It had only been two years, but she loved being an event planner. Meeting different people, setting up at different venues, seeing the pleased looks on her clients faces. Nothing made her happier, and it was all here in the city. Yes, she was a lucky girl.

Running into the building, Daisy saw the security guard Lester, smiling at her. She waved at him, showing her badge. Lester looked at her, Late again, Daisy? He was grinning and shaking his head. That’s three times this week, young lady. What happened this time? Daisy flushed a little and smiled nervously.

Lester was a kind older man and she felt embarrassed that he saw her as a ditz at times. Well Lester, today wasn’t really my fault. You see, I plugged in the coffee maker, and went into my bedroom to get ready for work. Smelling smoke, I ran into the kitchen. Seems I forgot to add water to the coffee machine and it started burning. I must have gotten distracted getting dressed. Her roommate Katie had left early for work or she would have made the coffee.

Shrugging her shoulders, she smiled and ran towards the elevator waving at Lester. She could still hear him laughing as she got inside. As the elevator doors opened, Daisy ran past the other offices, hoping that she wouldn’t run into her boss and have to explain again why she was late. Just as she was near her office, she collided with a hard chest. Hands grabbed at her upper arms, steadying her so she wouldn’t fall. When Daisy looked up, she found herself staring into the deepest green eyes she had ever seen. She felt mesmerized and just stood there, looking at the man.

The spell was broken when she heard someone clearing his throat. She knew that sound. Finally able to look away from those eyes, she turned to see Mr.Craydon standing there, arms folded, with a displeased look on his face. Daisy knew she was in for it this time. Smiling, she looked at her boss. Good Morning, Mr. Craydon. How are you today? Isn’t it a lovely day out, since it’s Spring, seeing all the flowers blooming and all. She hoped he wouldn’t embarrass her in front of *green eyes*, who she realized was still holding onto her.

Blushing, she moved out of his grasp and heard a very deep, and very masculine chuckle from him. Just great, Daisy thought, now he’s laughing at her. Looking at her boss, she saw him roll his eyes and take a deep breath. Daisy, this is Lucas Avery. Lucas, meet Daisy Sinclair. When she isn’t running into people or being late, she is a wonderful event planner. Mr.Craydon looked at her. Daisy, Lucas runs Wentworth Publishing Inc. and is looking to plan a writers convention event for all new and veteran authors. I said you were more than capable. Please don’t make me regret that.

Daisy, feeling her face turning red, looked up at Lucas Avery. This man was beautiful. He had dark wavy hair just above his collar, and a dimple in his chin, full lips and those gorgeous green eyes. He was also very tall. He must have been at least six foot four inches. She had to look up. He smiled and he had another dimple in his cheek. Daisy felt her knees getting weak. Pulling herself together, she extended her hand to him. Hello Mr.Avery, and welcome to Craydon Events. I’m more than happy to assist you with all the planning for your special occasion. Whatever you need, I will supply.

As Lucas took her hand, shivers went down Daisy’s back. Good lord, this man was doing things to her. He smiled at her and held her hand a moment longer before slowly letting it go. It’s very nice to meet you, Ms. Sinclair as Brandon has told me a lot about you. All good things I promise. He winked at Mr.Craydon. I’m looking forward to working with you as well, as I’m sure you will do everything in your power to make my event a success. Daisy gazed into his eyes again and he winked at her. Putting some distance between them, she looked down, into her tote bag, and pulled out her planner. She had to get herself together. This man was very distracting and his aura of sexiness was making her mind go to mush. Taking a deep breath, Daisy pulled out her pen and opened the planner. So Mr.Avery, what time is good for you? I have tomorrow free at noon or one in the afternoon, and I can meet you at your place of business. Also, please, call me Daisy. So what time shall it be?

Lucas looked at Daisy and felt something stir. She wasn’t technically his type as he normally dated gorgeous models, yet they were usually very vain and there wasn’t anything inside their heads. He basically had sex with them and then went on his way. It wasn’t that he was a player, it was just that he didn’t have time to be tied down to someone and he hadn’t felt love for someone in quite a while. Now as he looked at Daisy, his heart beat a little fast. Her beauty was a classic one and shone inside and out. She was of average height, maybe five four or five five, and very curvy. Not skinny, but she had a very sexy figure under her business clothes, and was well endowed. He imagined his hands on her and how she would feel. Her face was heart shaped with full lips made for kissing and she had beautiful brown eyes with specks of gold in them. Long dark lashes framed them. When she smiled her whole face lit up and it made him warm inside. Her hair was a warm brown and curly and even though she tried to pin it up, tendrils spilled out on the sides, making him want to take them in his hands and touch the silkiness. He would love to see it loose and his hands in it.

She was tugging at it as if she could control it. Her nose was perky and she had high cheekbones that were now flushed. Lucas knew she was going to be trouble. He was going to have to maintain a purely professional relationship. He had to keep it that way as he knew she was not the type of woman to just sleep with a man and leave. She was the relationship type, so he had to keep his distance. He moved back a bit as he felt the front of his pants getting snug. Looking at Daisy, he heard her say his name.

Out of the trance, he looked at her, and became all business. Well, Daisy, one o’clock should be fine, and please call me Lucas. Meet me at the Algonquin Hotel and we’ll take it from there. Turning to Mr.Craydon, he extended his hand. Brandon, thank you for recommending Daisy to me. I’ll see you Sunday for tennis, right? Turning to shake his hand Mr.Craydon clapped Lucas on the arm. Wouldn’t miss it for the world Luke. You have the best in Daisy and if you need anything else, please let me know. He turned to Daisy. After you’re done here, please come into my office. He turned to walk away and Lucas called out. Regards to Mandy and the kids.

Daisy stood there for a minute, unable to move. She shook herself and turned to go. So I will see you tomorrow Lucas. Have a wonderful rest of your day. Lucas took her hand and held it, slowly caressing. Yes, Daisy, I think this day is looking better by the minute. I will see you tomorrow. With that, he let her go and walked away. Daisy had to compose herself as she was breathing heavily. This man had made her feel things she hadn’t felt in a very long time. All the longings that she pushed away. This situation was going to be very interesting and as nervous as he made her, she was going to do the best job ever. She wasn’t going to let Mr.Lucas Avery get under her skin. This was business and that’s all. Now she had to deal with her boss, so she slowly went into his office and closed the door. This was turning out to be a strange day.

She walked into Mr.Craydon’s office as he motioned her to come forward. He was on the phone so she took a seat waiting for him to finish. He hung up the phone and looked up at her. Daisy inhaled expecting the tirade to begin. Instead, he sat back and looked at her as if in thought. Then he leaned forward on his desk. *Here it comes*Daisy thought to herself. It was not what she thought at all. Daisy, I asked you here to discuss Lucas Avery and this account. Daisy let out the breath she was holding in.

Sitting up straighter in her seat, she looked at him. Yes, Mr.Craydon? I have to tell you how excited I am to be assigned this event to plan. I can’t wait to start and get things done. Her boss nodded. He leaned back in his chair. Look Daisy, I know you are more than capable of doing this job or I wouldn’t have put you in charge of it. I should however tell you, as I am sure you are aware that Lucas and I are very good friends. Long term friends, I might add. Therefore, this event needs to be even more successful than the others you have done."

Daisy sat there, her mind remembering Lucas’s eyes and lips. I understand sir, and I won’t let you down. So far every client I’ve had has been more than satisfied. Lucas Avery will have an event that he will remember forever. It will surpass all the others. I’ll work overtime if I have to. She smiled at her boss and heard him sigh. Daisy, just understand that this is a huge account for us. I should also make you aware that Lucas is very hands on, so he’ll want to be involved in every step of this. You may even have to work with him quite extensively. He expects a lot because that’s how he runs his business. Daisy listened to what her boss was saying and then it hit her. What do you mean * his business* sir? I thought he just ran Wentworth Publishing. Are you saying he owns it?

Mr. Craydon looked at her and leaned forward folding his hands in front of him. Yes, Daisy I am saying exactly that. Lucas is a self made man, who bought Wentworth Publishing and built it from the ground up into the success that it is. The thing is, Lucas is still just a regular person. He doesn’t like others to know that he owns the company, so he says he just runs it. I’m only telling you this because you are working on this event and Lucas said it was important that you knew this about him. Of course being that he is having this event he is aware that he will be known as the owner from there on in but he is okay with that. He feels it’s time to be seen. Still, he likes his privacy so Daisy, you mustn’t tell others until the party is over. As I said, Lucas is a private person so what I just told you must remain our secret until our job is done. Do you understand?

Daisy sat very still, absorbing this information. Inside, she was a bundle of nerves. So, Lucas Avery owned the company. How was she going to impress him? She usually dealt with a supervisor or assistant. This was a whole other can of worms. What if he wasn’t pleased with the event? He was a very close friend of her boss, and if he wasn’t happy she could end up losing her job. She also worried about the *hands on part*. This man was a pure distraction. What if she couldn’t keep her thoughts straight. She had to get herself together. She was good at her job, and she wasn’t about to let this man scare her. Daisy knew she would give it her all no matter what. Taking a deep breath, she smiled at her boss. Well Mr.Craydon, I want you to know that I will do my very best to make this event a smashing success. I will start working on it straight away. Thank you for confiding in me and for this wonderful opportunity. My lips are sealed sir.

With that Daisy got up from her chair, and walked towards the door to leave. As she reached the door handle, Mr.Craydon called out to her. Daisy turned back to look at him. Yes Mr. Craydon? He actually had a little smile on his face. Try not to be late anymore Daisy. Lucas values punctuality very much among other things. Daisy gave a small smile feeling her face flushing. I understand sir. I promise I will be on time from now on, so as not to disappoint. Thank you Mr.Craydon. As she closed the door behind her, she hoped she could keep that promise. The last thing she needed was to make an enemy out of Lucas Avery.

It was almost one o’clock when Daisy ran into the Algonquin Hotel. She went straight to the front desk and slowed her breathing. How could she possibly be late today? Looking around she didn’t see Lucas yet and exhaled a breath of relief. She made it there before him, thank goodness. As she was about to ask the desk clerk if Lucas had arrived, she smelled a very masculine scent behind her. Slowly turning she stared into those same green eyes from yesterday, only he had his arms crossed and a little smirk on his lips.

Breathing slowly, Daisy gave a little smile. Good Afternoon Lucas, how are you today? He just stood there looking at her and it was sending chills down her body. She started to turn towards the counter when he took her hand. Good afternoon Daisy. By the way I saw you run in just in the nick of time. Thank you for getting here at our set appointment. Then he let her hand go. It took all her energy just to stand. His hand was warm and strong and his scent was so manly. He smelled as if he had just gotten out of the shower. The smell filled her nostrils and she felt dizzy for a moment. Clearing her throat, she looked up at him. Mr.Craydon made it clear that you expect me to be on time. So Lucas, where shall we start?

She saw him start to smile and then he laughed. He was laughing at her, again! Is there something amusing Lucas? She couldn’t help it. They had been here five minutes and already he was goading her. When he didn’t answer and instead gave her a sexy smile, she almost melted. Daisy decided to turn all business as she wasn’t going to win this battle and she was starting to blush. Okay Lucas, is there a room here that you want as the venue? Why don’t we go look so I can get the feel of it? She turned to walk and heard him clear his throat. Oh this man was insufferable! Daisy turned to him then. Yes, Mr.Avery?

Lucas looked down at her, she was lovely when flustered. He just wanted to grab her and kiss her senseless. He was enjoying seeing her all bothered. Her eyes flashed golden and her cheeks were flushed. He wondered how she would look in his bed after hours of lovemaking. Realizing that she was staring at him and waiting for an answer, he cleared his head. This was only going to be business, that was it. Finally he gathered his thoughts . Yes, I have the spot I want the event to take place in. I will show you where it is and please call me Lucas. He put his hand on her upper back as he led the way through the hotel.

Daisy felt the warmth of his hand on her and thought she might faint. She wondered how those hands would feel touching her all over. She shook her head to clear it and kept moving through the hotel.

As they walked, Daisy got to look around and truly see the place. She had never been here before and all she knew was that it had opened in nineteen hundred and two and was still a very popular establishment. She looked at the ceilings and the furniture and the wall coverings. This place was not just austere but she could tell that only the very rich could afford to stay here. Algonquin Hotel was huge and was decorated in colors of gold and brown making it look rich and inviting. Bellhops were bringing in luggage and people were scattering about as Lucas kept walking further into the hotel.

Daisy took out her planner notebook and pen and started to jot some notes down. Most people had small tablets or laptops but she still preferred to write things down on paper and later transfer her notes. This way she had two copies, one being a hard copy. She was very organized that way. She was so engrossed at looking around that she didn’t realize Lucas had stopped walking. She almost bumped into him again and would have if he hadn’t spoken. Here we are Daisy, this is the room where my event will take place. It can hold up to one thousand people but I am only going to have about five hundred or so. This event is going to be for writers, authors, new ones, and veterans. I’ll also want the press covering this occasion.

He turned to look at her and she looked as if she was in thought as she was writing in a planner. He smiled. She was adorable. Daisy, are you listening? She looked up at him and smiled awkwardly. Sorry Lucas,I was taking some notes and sometimes I get carried away. I heard everything you said. Room holds up to a thousand people, but you will have around five hundred or so. It’s a writers event with new and older writers and authors, and you want the press there to cover it. Am I up to speed Lucas?

Daisy smiled at him as she knew that she unsettled him. She hoped he now saw that she did know what she was doing or at least he was beginning to. I’m going to walk around the room a bit to get a feel of it and see how things should be set up. Lucas just looked at her. He was very impressed as he hadn’t been so sure that she was capable at first. He was starting to change his mind. He walked along with her and watched her assess the room and take more notes. She was writing so fast and her eyes looked like a child in a candy store.

She had this excited expression on her face and all he wanted to do was kiss her until she was shaking in his arms. What the hell was happening to him? Shaking his head he moved away. Daisy, do you know what they used to call this room back in the day? She stopped and looked at him. No, but I would love a little history about the place. Lucas smiled at that and he walked over to a picture of Ernest Hemingway. They used to call this *The Round Table Room Meetings*. Do you want to know why?

Now Daisy met his gaze and her face lit up. Yes I do, how interesting a name. She walked over to the picture and stood by Lucas. He turned and looked at her. They named it that because this room used to entertain famous Actors, Writers, Playwrights, and others. Many meetings took place here, right in this wonderful room. This is why I want my event here. It’s filled with the history of literary giants and I want to add myself to that list along with them.

Daisy looked at Lucas, and saw his eyes light up. He was so excited to be in this room that he looked like a young boy on Christmas day. She forgot herself and put her hand on his face. Lucas felt her soft, warm hand on his face and looked down. Daisy was staring at him as if he was more than a client. He looked at her lips, and felt himself move towards her. Just as he was about to taste them, his cell rang. It snapped both of them out of the trance and Daisy jumped at the sound. She shook her head and moved back a few steps. What had just happened? She never did anything like this! She wasn’t the type to let a strange man kiss her or even touch the face of one. What the heck just happened?

Lucas looked away and grabbed his cell. He had to get some control. He had never reacted that way before and he had to maintain his sense of professionalism. He walked away to answer the call. Daisy took a deep breath and went to sit in a chair. As she sat there thinking about what almost happened, she felt a chill in the air around her. Then she heard a giggle. She looked around but nobody was there. She heard the giggle again and smelled a rose scented perfume. Daisy thought she was going crazy. Seeing that Lucas was quite a distance away, speaking on his phone, Daisy spoke in a whisper. Hello, is someone there? I hear you and smell you. Please come out. She received no answer but she felt like she was being watched and it was sending cold shivers down her spine. Again, she heard the giggle and the hairs on her arms stood up.

Daisy got up quickly and accidentally knocked the chair down. As she bent to pick it up she heard someone whisper in her ear. You aren’t going crazy. I am here and that man of yours is one hot tamale. I’ll be here Daisy when you come back. Daisy felt the shivers again and then the room got warm. Lucas was putting his cell into his pocket and Daisy walked up to him. Forgetting about the almost kiss, she looked at him. Um, Lucas, I have a question. Does this hotel have a history of being haunted?

Lucas stared down at her and shrugged his shoulders. None that I’m aware of but I never looked into that. Why? Daisy felt unsure of what to say. She didn’t want him to think she was crazy if she told him she had just heard a ghost talk to her. She wasn’t even sure that she wasn’t crazy but she didn’t want him to engage that idea. So she kept it to herself. She needed to get more sleep. Her mind was playing tricks on her. No reason Lucas, I am just interested to know more about the hotel. I already think it’s the perfect venue for you. Now how about we sit down and discuss some ideas I have written down for your event. I’m sure you will be pleased. Lucas was relieved she didn’t bring up the kiss that didn’t happen and yet he still felt she was holding something back. He decided to let it go for now and concentrate on his party. Pulling out a seat for Daisy he then sat down beside her, but not too close. He needed distance. Okay Daisy, let’s begin the planning.

    ~Chapter Two~

Daisy walked into her apartment and saw her roommate Katie on the couch watching television, eating popcorn. She had known Katie since they were in grade school, and they both moved up to New York together. Katie worked in advertising and she was Daisy’s best friend. She turned her head to see Daisy walk in and put the show on pause. Hey Dase, how are you? So how was the meeting with hot and sexy? Did he ravish you?

Katie wiggled her eyebrows up and down and giggled. Daisy rolled her eyes and plopped down on the sofa. Putting her head back she closed her eyes for a moment. The day had ended on a good note as Lucas and her had gone over many of the details. So far they knew how many people would be invited, how the tables were going to be arranged, and how it was going to be decorated. They hadn’t decided on a caterer yet or the press details. Also the date and invitations were yet to be discussed. Still, Daisy felt so on edge.

It wasn’t just Lucas’s nearness that caused it, but the haunting that she experienced. She wondered whether to tell Katie about it or not. She felt like this wasn’t the first time it happened to her, but she couldn’t place that feeling. Opening her eyes, she saw Katie looking at her. Daisy decided she needed to tell somebody, and she trusted her. She sat up and turned towards her. Katie knew something was up and got up fast, pouring two glasses of red wine. She went back to the sofa and handed one to Daisy. Then she took a sip and waited.

Daisy took the glass and a nice sip and let the wine flow down her throat. She needed a little bit of liquid courage. Taking a deep breath she began. Katie, I have to tell you something and I need you to keep an open mind. Will you do that for me? Katie took another sip and nodded. Daisy began. To answer your first question, no Lucas didn’t ravish me, even though he’s really getting under my skin. Daisy had confided in Katie about Lucas as she swore her to secrecy and she was Daisy’s best friend. Katie started to giggle and Daisy gave her a look. She stopped and let Daisy continue. Lucas and I almost kissed, but his cell phone rang, which stopped us. As he stepped away to talk , I heard a voice. It giggled and spoke to me Katie. It was a female’s voice and she smelled of that rose perfume that your gram wears. I felt the room get really cold and then she was gone. Katie, I think I had a haunting.

She took another sip of the wine and was feeling calmer. She hoped that her friend didn’t think she was insane. She looked at Katie and waited. Katie took another sip of the wine, placed her glass on the table and took Daisy’s hand. As if thinking of what to say, she was quiet for a few moments. Then she smiled at Daisy and squealed. Holy moly, Daisy, you almost kissed hot and sexy? This is major, girl, really major! I want details, and leave nothing out. Daisy took an exasperated breath. Forget the kiss for now please. It didn’t happen as I said. I’m more upset over the haunting. She took a big sip of the wine.

Katie looked away embarrassed. I’m sorry Dase. You’ll tell me about that later. I do want to hear more about the haunting. I just have to say one more thing about Lucas though. It’s okay to have the hots for your client. He sounds like a juicy morsel and if it were me, I would definitely do him. With that said, I believe you. I don’t think you’re crazy and I think you did have a ghost encounter. I’ve read up on these things and those are the signs. Now what we need to do is research that hotel and see what they say about any past or present haunting. Daisy, I have your back. She hugged Daisy and then sat back.

Daisy smiled leaning back. I thought I was going crazy. I forgot how you’re into all this paranormal stuff. I definitely want to research the hotel and see what the stories are on any haunting. The question I have though is why me? Why does the ghost need to talk to me? She looked at her friend and shrugged. Daisy was going to think about it. First, they needed to do some research. Daisy sat back and Katie put the show back on. At least she wasn’t alone in this. Her best friend would be helping her.

After dinner, Katie and her went online and started to research the Algonquin hotel, starting from when it just opened. There was a lot of information and Daisy took a pad and pen to write down notes. She had to know what she was dealing with. Katie was reading about the hotel on the computer and all of a sudden, she gave a squeal. Holy crap, Dase, you won’t believe all the stories this place has. There have been a lot of strange goings on there since the beginning. Crazy stuff started way back in the early nineteen hundreds when it just opened.

Katie started reading something and Daisy looked at her. Katie, what does it say? I’m sitting on pins and needles here. Read it out loud. Katie looked at her. Sorry Dase, I just got so engrossed. She turned back to the screen. Okay, so it says here that way back in nineteen hundred and two when it opened, they would have big parties with all kinds of celebrities staying there. It seems that there was this one actress who used to be a guest there often. Her name was Adele Delacate. She was not that well known, but was up and coming. It says she was very beautiful and had a lot of lovers, one being a movie producer. Katie shrugged her shoulders. I guess the casting couch started long before now. It seems she was very young when she started acting and very popular with the men. Oh look there’s a picture of her. Wow, is she hot! For those days, she was very sexy. Here, look at it.

She turned the computer screen for Daisy to see the photo. It was very old and yet she could clearly see Adele. She had wavy blonde hair down to her shoulders, Blue eyes, a small nose and high cheekbones. Her lips were red and she was smiling seductively at the camera. She was extremely voluptuous and was wearing a barely there gown showing her full cleavage and large breasts. The way she posed and looked was very risque for that time.

Daisy wondered if this was the woman who haunted her. The photo was dated circa nineteen fifteen. Adele was posed lying on a chaise, with her arms stretched above her head. She was also a tall woman for those times, taller than Daisy who stood five foot four. She had that come hither look and oozed sexuality. Daisy wished she had half that sexiness. Most times she felt like frump girl. She turned to Katie. That is some picture. For those times she was extremely sexual. She looks like she’s waiting to be ravished. I bet she was a true rebel. I wish I could have half that sensuality. Look how she’s so comfortable in her skin. She’s barely dressed and looks as if she doesn’t have a care in the world. Daisy sat back and sighed.

Katie looked at her friend. Daisy Sinclair, don’t you dare put yourself down. You are beautiful, but you need to believe it. I don’t like when you compare yourself to others. You don’t even see how wonderful you are. Don’t let a few bad experiences get you down. There is the perfect man for you and he’s going to bring out that wild cat inside. Trust me on this.

Daisy looked at her friend who was stunning. Katie had red hair and green eyes. She was tall and thin and men were always drooling over her. She was never short on companions. Easy for you to say, men fall at your feet. You could wear a sack and they would come running. I can’t even keep my hair from getting out of control. Look, I know I’m not ugly, but sometimes I wish I were hotter. Anyway, let’s forget about me for a moment. I want to know more about Adele Delacate. Finish reading the story. Katie looked at her exasperated. What am I going to do with you, huh? One day you’ll see what everyone else does. Okay, let’s see what else it says about this Adele person.

Katie started reading aloud again and then came to a stop. Holy shit!! Oh wow!! No way!! Daisy jumped for a minute. What? What are you reading? Katie turned to her, eyes huge. Dase, she was murdered! Katie’s eyes were wide and had an excited look in them. Daisy turned the computer towards her and read the article out loud. January 1, 1916, the body of Adele Delacate was found in the Algonquin hotel at ten o’clock in the morning. When she didn’t show up for work, someone at the studio called the police who went to the hotel. Once there, they went up to her room where they found her. Police say she was lying on her bed sprawled out and had been strangled. Coroners say her time of death was five o’clock in the morning. Investigators are still on the case. So far there are no clues as to who did this.Ms. Delacate, had been in supporting roles for the last four years. She had just landed her first main role and was to start rehearsals.Known for her outrageous behavior and many suitors, she had been involved with the mob boss, Joseph Butano. They had broken up, and she was now dating and engaged to producer, Edwin Connor. Ms. Delacate was only twenty-four years of age. The world will surely miss her.

Daisy stared at Katie and back at the screen. I think the ghost is her. Adele Delacate haunted me. She was the same age as us Katie. I need to find out why I’m able to hear her and why she’s haunting me. Is there anymore information on the hotel? Katie scrolled further and nodded. Well it seems that there are a lot of haunting reported there, but never a woman who has a rose scented smell. Maybe she’s haunting you to help you bring out your inner sex goddess. She sure had a lot of it inside her. Gosh, they say she would have orgies and skinny dip often. How could someone just murder her like that? Where was her boyfriend when this was going on? Daisy wrote some more notes. The question in her head was , why her? Why is she hearing her, and what did Ms. Adele Delacate want from her? What if Lucas Avery caught wind of this? Her job and her reputation would be on the line.

Turning to her friend she touched her arm. Look Katie, I’m glad we found this information out, but I have to be careful. If Lucas ever found out about this my job and my reputation would be on the line. I can’t afford to lose either. I’m going to let it go for now. I have an event to plan and I need all my wits about me. If Adele needs to haunt someone, let her find someone else. I am not going to entertain it.

Sitting back and sighing, she closed her eyes. She heard Katie close the computer. When she opened them again, Katie was looking at her. What? Katie took a deep breath. Listen Daisy, I know you’re scared because you don’t understand what’s happening but you can’t just ignore it. I don’t want you to lose your job or reputation either, but if you ignore this it won’t go away. One way or another Adele Delacate is going to get her way and you are going to have to deal with it. When you’re ready, I will stand beside you. Just don’t say you won’t entertain this because she’s going to make sure you will.

Daisy felt chills going up and down her spine. She knew Katie was right, yet
