Crystals of Morning Dew - Pantas P. Sitompul
Foreword
.
I’M REALLY HAPPY TO have gone through 126 poems composed by a very sensitive global poet of today. His poems reflect his refined mind and heart that can easily touch everybody’s soft corner for the common desire for any poetic expression in human life. It is because of his profound love for nature and the creations of God on earth that need peace and harmony.
...
( A Quiddity of Love)
"How lovely life could be...
Let's keep our hand clean
Living in peace and harmony
Where Earth is our first home
As a wanderer through eternity!"
...
( A Wanderer)
The purpose of living a human life is not only to enjoy bodily comfort but to smoothen our ways of life to have heavenly bliss on earth. The poet, in this sense, is a wanderer. The following lines reveal the poet’s purest heart and mind that desire nothing but heavenly touch of the Unseen Power.
I'm a wanderer:
In searching the stair-way to heaven
Till the skin wrinkled on my face
To change the color of my skin, of my soul with love
As a manifestation of my faith, awaiting for rapture...!?
...
(Anger)
The poet is also a man of flesh and blood, having all human qualities good and bad. But his search for the best and earnest desire for a peaceful life lead him to face and resist the darkest moments and events too. This makes him angry and his anger is constructive. These lines reveal his ideal anger-
"Measurable anger
Can be beneficial
To straighten the bent iron"
...
(CORRUPTION)
The poet is a watcher of the society. He feels pain to see how greedy people exploit the easy going common people-
"O’ man, why are you not satisfied ...
You take it home what is not yours
You steal it, and you hoard it away
You hide it to enrich yourself, for tomorrow unknown?
Why is there no satisfaction?
Greedy, and acquisitive are unlimited ..."
...
(How to Survive)
Life is a struggle, we must overcome all hindrances boldy, but honestly to survive. The poet is ready to undertake this spiritual journey in this earthly life-
"Challenges will always come and go
Lurking in every space and time
We'll always cross the mountains and valleys
Wading through a swift river, and a sea storms
The ever-changing seasons..."
...
(The Way I Choose)
My friend dear Pantas P Sitompul has explored this vast oceans of life, experiencing sweet and bitter corners and expressed his feelings in this collection of poems. His choice of easiest words help readers understand his feelings and emotions readily.
"Million dreams
To pursue
So many roads
Leading unknown
Only a choice
To choose
Highway to heaven
I... climb!"
...
Hope dear readers will love to go through the poems.
I’m sure they will enjoy and read the poems repeatedly.
