Robbers broke into my house last year on Sunday, 6/03/2022 as I was in Church.

I lost everything and got heavily depressed till I contemplated suicide.

Sunday, 6th March 2022 is a memorable day for me. Robbers broke into my house whilst I was preaching in Church. My wife and kids got home to see an empty house. They took almost everything including my newly bought laptop.

Many unpleasant events happened thereafter and I came under a lot of financial pressure. My blood pressure kept rising and I developed a strange heart ailment that almost required surgery on the left side of my heart. I cried in private. I felt like giving up. For the first time in my life, I contemplated suicide. My world seemed to be falling apart. I couldn't post on social media as I used to. I couldn't write books like I used to. I couldn't speak at events as I used to. Many thoughts were going through my mind. Amidst all these, I was praying with people and had to fake strength because many people looked up to me.

One day, a lady friend called me to bid me farewell because she was almost about to drink a poisonous substance to end her life. Her situation was nowhere near mine but she couldn't take it anymore. With the help of God, I managed to encourage and counsel her not to give up. She aborted her suicide plans and called me to thank me the next day. She told me I was the only one she thought of when she wanted to commit suicide. She told me how much she looked up to me and how she wished she was as strong as I was. Many things transpired in that conversation.

I learnt a lot from that call. A new wave of strength entered me. I rushed to the barbering shop to trim my bushy hair and have a new look. I resolved to live again though life had happened to me. I told myself I can't fail God and the many people that look up to me. I started writing books again. In those dark moments, my writing and creative abilities were heightened. Though I was still off social media, there were many courses I took and I made much progress in my personal development.

Today, I'm still alive and progressing. I'm glad the troubles of life did not succeed in silencing me forever. I'm glad I didn't end it all. Be encouraged! I know you're going through a lot. I know some of us have contemplated suicide. Your world may be falling apart now. Trust me, if you don't
