About this ebook

Free your mind from toxic thoughts and learn to live positively, passionately, and, most of all, happily.

Are you bombarded on a day-to-day basis with thoughts that are worrying, anxious, and downright toxic?

Do you often belittle yourself in your mind and tell yourself that you can't do something?

Are you tired of letting negativity control you and want to find a way to cleanse your mind and redirect your thoughts?

Every idea and fleeting notion that crosses through your mind has an impact.

Every time you tell yourself you can't, you reinforce that belief.

When you assign yourself the victim role, you live it.

If you let the past remain in the present, you'll doom your future.

All of this is only possible when you hold onto toxic thoughts and ideas. Learn to release them, and you'll create an entirely new mental landscape dedicated to helping you thrive.

In this book, you'll learn not only why you have negative, toxic thoughts but also how to get rid of them.

You'll have to confront your past, let go of false truths you've been holding onto, ditch the comparisons between your life and others' lives, and have compassion for yourself.

It won't be quick or easy, but it will change your life.

In addition to getting to the core of negativity, you'll also discover:

Practical exercises for banishing negativity, including positive affirmations, strategic breathing, and shifting your focus.

How to see who you truly are and uncover the potential hiding behind the toxicity.

The lessons your past can teach you and steps to overcome past trauma.

How to create a flexible mindset that is open to new ideas and experiences.

Why you need to shrug off the victim role and reclaim your power.

And so much more!

Maybe you think you can't change.

Maybe you've lived this long with an unhappy mindset and don't think things can get any worse.

They might not, but they could get so much better.

Let the toxic go. Let the positive in.

    Introduction

It was a beautiful sunny day, the first day of spring and it truly looked like the new season was finally here. Radiant and colorful. Mary decided it was the perfect day to get dressed in her favorite summer dress for the first time after the long and dreary winter. As she zipped up her dress it suddenly popped open at the bottom. A large gaping opening standing between her and her dreams for the day. Maybe I put on weight during the winter, she thought. It is possible, she loves snacking when it is so cold. Well, then another dress it should have to be. She picks another dress with a touchable sense of disappointment.

Ready to take on the day with newfound forced excitement, she enters her class, greets her friends and wonders why it seems like they suddenly went quiet as she walked in. Did she imagine that or were they discussing her? Maybe they think she put on weight as well. As she takes her seat in the classroom, her life is shaken by yet another sure sign that she got fat during the cold season, when her seat slowly gives away underneath her until a sudden crack takes her to the ground. It is hard to compose yourself after such an embarrassment in front of the entire class. Now they all will discuss her massive weight gain during winter.

During the lunch break, she decides to pop in at a restaurant nearby. She wouldn’t dare to eat something now and decides to order only a soda. A few minutes later the waiter shows up with a diet soda. It's not what she ordered, but he must be thinking she is on a diet, or rather should be, so she remains quiet and reluctantly sips on her diet soda. Depressed and completely convinced of the fact that she is obese.

Toxic thinking sprouts from a very innocent incident and then can quickly grow into a weed, completely out of control, taking over our minds. A level where we lose all control of our thinking and actions. It overtakes our entire thinking process and rules our lives.

Let’s take a look at another take on the beautiful sunny day. Mary decided it is the perfect day to get dressed in her favorite summer dress for the first time after the long and dreary winter. As she zipped up her dress it suddenly popped open at the bottom. A large gaping opening standing between her and her dreams for the day. Oh no, the quality of zippers simply isn’t what it should be. The plastic must have gotten brittle during the winter and since it was already shoddy craftsmanship, it simply snapped open today. Later on, she’ll take it to the seamstress around the corner for a new zip. It is after all still her favorite dress.

Ready to take on the day with newfound forced excitement, she enters her class, greets her friends and wonders why they seem like they suddenly went quiet as she walked in. Did she imagine that or were they discussing her? This is so exciting! She is sure they are planning a huge surprise for her birthday. She wonders what it could be. As she takes her seat in the classroom, her life is shaken a bit as her seat slowly gives away underneath her until a sudden crack takes her to the ground. It is hard to compose yourself after so much laughter. It is one of those moments she and her friends will always recall. The day when she fell into the trap of poor maintenance in the science classroom. The old chair was probably long overdue for a replacement.

During the lunch break, she decides to pop in at a restaurant nearby. She’s not hungry, so she orders only a soda. A few minutes later the waiter shows up with a diet soda. It’s not what she ordered, but she can’t remember seeing him here before so he
