Nobody was prepared for the uncertainty and change that 2020 would bring. Many of us have found ourselves in situations we weren’t equipped to deal with, both mentally and physically, and have been tested in ways we never imagined. For some, it was a blessing: a welcome opportunity to slow down. For others, 2020 has exacerbated existing mental health conditions, leaving us feeling anxious and isolated. Every lockdown situation is unique, and it’s important not to judge ourselves based on the experiences that others have had. But there’s no denying that the past 12 months have made us all more aware of our mental health than ever before.
