    Understanding how energy works

It goes without saying, you want a healthy, happy baby and you would like to give them the best possible start in life. You would also like them to have access to all the best life has to offer. We can help and care for our offspring in many ways by giving them a safe and secure home to live in, supply healthy food and drink, offer a good education and give them all the love and support they need to grow into happy, healthy human beings.  But can we enrich their lives even more?

The ancient Chinese believed they could take this fortune a step further and over many centuries, developed a system now known as Feng Shui.  They believed the land as a living entity and that their lives were linked with the earth and the heavens. In order or maintain this prosperity, luck and good fortune, Feng Shui was used and is still very much a part of many people’s lives today – especially the far east nations and popular with many celebrities.  For a system so ancient that has been passed on through generations and not forgotten, extra hope is offered to those needing extra enrichment in this modern day and age.

PRONOUNCING FENG SHUI, ITS TRANSLATION AND MEANING

Feng Shui is pronounced Fung Shoy in Cantonese and Foong Shway in Mandarin and really depends on which regional dialect you come across.  There are at least 300 regional dialects and many totally different from each other.  Neither is considered correct and it requires careful teaching and practice to obtain the real Chinese pronunciation.

Feng Shui – when translated – means ‘wind and water’ and realistically - they are the two most powerful forces of nature that we cannot live without.  The ancient Chinese believe that these two forces are responsible for our health, harmony, prosperity and good fortune.  It makes us appreciate why we need to care for our earth, and one of the main things to do is by keeping our water safe and healthy, and our air clean and breathable.

Feng Shui embraces everything living – plants, animals, humans and minerals.  Yes, minerals grow too!  It aims to balance the type of energy that can influence our homes, work places – including the land surrounding them.  As this is a vast subject that takes many, many years to understand and master, I will include the essentials which can help balance us, our loved ones and the areas we reside in.

    HOW LUCK WORKS

You may have already experimented with Feng Shui and expected a big windfall, anticipated winning the lottery or hoped to get that ideal job.  Fantastic if it has already happened!  But what we need to remember is that Feng Shui does not create good fortune by its self. It unblocks and frees up energy.  This in turn creates balance which can lead onto an improvement in wellbeing and an optimistic outlook in life.  Important positive aspects of our lives like health, prosperity, career, relationships and other opportunities can soon follow.  Nobody wants blocked energy as it can attract negativity and soon lead to poor well-being, sour relationships and missed chances.

So, whether you believe in this ancient art or not, there is no harm in giving your family’s luck a little nudge in the right direction to enhance existing good prospects and in turn, reduce bad effects when going through a period of misfortune. It also makes for a cleaner, tidier, smarter home and work place which can do wonders for the body/mind health.

    Trinity of Luck

The ancients believe Feng Shui classifies luck in three parts and each third of these energy forces can influence a person’s destiny very differently – depending the time and when born.  In life, Trinity of Luck applies to everyone.  They are:

Heaven Luck – when baby is born, baby will absorb energy from the aligned planets at the time and their destiny cannot be
