In every generation, there are believers who are passionate about reaching the lost and making disciples for Christ. However, the task of soul-winning is challenging and daunting, especially in a world that is increasingly hostile to the message of the cross. Also, many who are involved in soul-winning may not be sufficiently equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools needed for effectiveness.

A WORD OF TESTIMONY

I do not know how it is with you! I am enjoying my life to the fullest. It is as if I was born just for this moment, to be doing the things I am doing now. I want to confess that I am fulfilled. God has been good to me.

I bless the hand, often invisible, but certain, that has been there, always there. I want to let you know that I have enjoyed and been blessed beyond telling, walking with Jesus.

Inwardly and outwardly, my joy is full. If I had a billion lives, I will give them to Jesus with the same intensity as I am doing now, or even more.

I have never been so happy in my life. I am like a school boy about to go home on holiday. This is the happiest time of my life. There are times when, alone, I have shouted for joy.

I thank You Lord because my joy is complete and You are that joy.

You have been good.

You have been very good.

You have been very, very good. Amen.

What is your testimony?

What do you say about the Man of the cross?

What do you say about the Man of the stable?

What do you say about the Man of the manger?

What do you say about that Man who was so hungry that He looked for a fruit of that tree, out of its season for fruit? What do you say about that Man who was hungry at Jacob’s well and sent His disciples to get food? What do you say about that Man who while waiting, had an evangelistic campaign with one woman? This soul-winning business brought Him so much joy and fulfilment that when they brought Him the food, He was already full with winning that woman to Himself. What do you say about that Man whose food was to do His Father’s will?

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS

I want to say; Joy is directly proportional to the relationship with Jesus.

No relationship with Jesus, no joy.

Little relationship with Jesus, little joy.

Average relationship with Jesus, average joy.

Intense relationship with Jesus, intense joy.

We offer to you this day, Jesus for your joy.

We offer to you this day, Jesus for your fulfilment.

We offer to you this day, Jesus for your satisfaction.

Lord Jesus, You are good and You are Lord. Lord, I remember the days when You walked the coasts of the sea of Galilee and You saw Peter and Andrew, and asked them to follow You. Then You walked along and saw Zebedee, showed no mercy, and took along his two sons. And Your word says that Mrs Zebedee gathered money and followed You in order to provide for Your needs. You did not think of the loneliness of Zebedee. Your royal needs were paramount. You did not care that it is not good for a man to be alone. You are still walking in our meetings and doing same. Of the increase of Your kingdom, there shall be no end, here in the nation and abroad. Glory be to You. Amen.

"We thank You Lord, that without warning, You burst into our lives.

You put an end to our own dreams.

You get us to higher dreams.

You share Your kingdom with us.

We share in imposing Your kingdom.

We say it is the best that could ever happen to us; we confess that this world is passing away and Your kingdom is being established. We confess that as people are being called, we have been honoured beyond description. Amen.

WHOM TO SERVE

When I was twenty-one in 1966, someone said, Nobody should think about putting his talents in anything anywhere else, unless in the gospel enterprise; there is no place where he can use his talents. You only go to serve the world when the whole Gospel Enterprise provides no room for your talent. He said, It is a crime to leave needs in the kingdom of God to go and serve the world. Take for instance, the capacity to organise—unless there is no way to organise in the kingdom of God, do not go to the world. The worldly is ultimately the enemy. If you have a talent, put it into the gospel. No one should put his gifts, his talents into the world, unless there is no where he could put these in the Gospel Enterprise.

If you can organise, organise the gospel.

If you can sing, sing the gospel.

If you can prophesy, prophesy for the gospel.

No believer should study anything that he will not bring into the gospel. To do so will result in wasted years. To give the world eight hours every day, plus two hours on the way to work, then return from work and dump the leftovers of your energy on the Nazarene is insulting Him.

Jesus of Nazareth demands the cream of a man.

Jesus of Nazareth demands the cream of his youth.

Jesus of Nazareth demands the cream of his time.

WHEN TO BEGIN—1

We shall recruit younger, younger and younger missionaries. The cream of a man’s energy is between eighteen and twenty-eight. He is almost indefatigable. You could prolong this age bracket. That prolongation depends on how hard the person worked between one and eighteen. The degree of hard work between one and eighteen builds a hard work level that goes on throughout life. A lazy person between these ages has missed his life.

People converted after forty have a major handicap. It is difficult to get them swim. Have you ever gone to the swimming pool? Some only sit there drinking Coca-Cola and eating biscuits. Some even change but would not get into the water. Or they get to the secure shallow parts and beat the water hard. They would not risk going to the deep. In the Christian life, there is something that is determinant; the power to risk.

There is a priest in Mbalmayo who is relatively close to us. He has eaten in our house four times. One day he told me, The problem is that I am old, but you are young. He said, "You can say the things you say and go free. Once, I said just a little of what was wrong and they sent me to cold Europe. When I came back,
