About this ebook

Is the eternal destiny of those for whom Christ died the prior thoughts of your life?

The one and only reason why the Lord Jesus did not take you to heaven the day you believed was that you should stay here on earth, win the lost to Him and make disciples of all nations.

Soul-Winning (Volume two) will set you thinking of the souls of men—how they will fare on Judgment Day and what you must do to rescue the largest number, in the shortest possible time, from going to hell.

This is one of the three burdens that the author, Professor Z.T. Fomum carried permanently on his heart, alongside those of prayer and the training of spiritual leaders.

This book is a powerful motivator to get you started in an endless season of evangelism.

Soul-Winning (Volume Two) - Zacharias Tanee Fomum

    1

    SOUL-WINNING

Sinners could be without hunger and without thirst for the Lord and for His word.

Hunger and thirst for the Lord and His word is created in the sinner by the fasting and prayer of the saint or saints.

    YAOUNDE, 23/09/00.

    2

    SOUL-WINNING

In the winning of people for the Lord, the question is whether the Gospel is being preached to ordinary sinners or to hungry and thirsty sinners. There will be little response if the Gospel is preached to ordinary sinners. However, if the Gospel is preached to hungry and thirsty sinners, the response will be different.

    YAOUNDE, 23/09/00.

    3

    SOUL-WINNING

Soul-winning depends, first of all, on whom the soul-winner is and not just on the words spoken. The soul-winner must be a person whose life differs radically from that of the person to whom the Gospel is presented. If the soul-winner and the unsaved person both love the world, the winning of the unsaved person by that soul-winner is near impossible. The inner life of the soul-winner must be radically different from that of the unsaved person, if radical conversion is to be produced.

    YAOUNDE, 11/10/00.

    4

    SOUL-WINNING

Soul-winning is, first of all, radical resemblance to the Lord Jesus in His being and in His doing. Without this resemblance to the Lord Jesus in His being and in His doing, the one who wants to win others to Him will fail. The soul-winner must testify that the Lord Jesus has covered his sin with His blood, cleansed him from all sin and imparted to him the very nature of Christ; and so his life is changed, his motives changed, his tastes changed and his values changed. It is this encounter with the Lord Jesus and the ensuing transformations that he yearns would become the experience of the one he wants to win to Christ.

    YAOUNDE, 11/10/00.

    5

    SOUL-WINNING

In the art of leading people to the Lord, the soul-winner must avoid still birth. This is done by creating spiritual hunger and intensifying the hunger until the person is desperate to be saved. It is when the person is desperate to be saved that leading him to the Lord makes sense.

    LAGOS, 12/10/00.

    6

    SOUL-WINNING

No one should be led to the Lord who is not desperate to be saved.

No one should be led to the Lord who is not prepared to be saved at any cost.

No one should be led to the Lord who is not prepared to abandon all known sin.

No one should be led to the Lord who is not prepared to follow Jesus 100.00% in everything.

    LAGOS, 12/10/00.

    7

    SOUL-WINNING

Souls are won by the Gospel preached by life and by word.

    LAGOS, 12/10/00.

    8

    SOUL-WINNING

When the message preached is contradicted by the life lived, there will not be genuine conversions, but rather counterfeit conversions produced.

    YAOUNDE, 12/10/00.

    9

    SOUL-WINNING

The extent to which the hearers will obey the Gospel preached will be directly proportional to the extent to which the soul-winner has obeyed the Lord.

    LAGOS, 12/10/00.

    10

    SOUL-WINNING

Unless the unbeliever sees in the believer the

    joy

    peace

    contentment

    etc,

that are absent in his own life, he cannot be moved to desire Christ and His salvation.

    MONROVIA, 21/10/00.

    11

    SOUL-WINNING

The Gospel is a proclamation by life and by word. It is the Gospel lived that attracts the unbeliever to seek the Lord.

It is only that which is true in the heart that can be used by the Lord to draw the unbeliever to Himself.

    MONROVIA, 21/10/00.
