About this ebook

Book Description from the manuscript introduction
This book includes over a year of weekly texts I sent to my thirteen Fantastic Grandkids to help them develop their creative thinking ability. My grandkids ages spanned nearly twenty five years and they had a variety of experience, education and interests. My goal was to write on subjects that would be interesting to all of them. The subjects were selected to reflect the potential interest of any age group. This would give the grandkids the opportunity to re read the texts and still find something interesting and enjoyable as they got older.

The Fantastic Grandkids texts provided an opportunity for me to share some of my experiences, discoveries and ideas with my grandkids. I received feedback on what they liked about a particular text and what they wanted to hear more about. Some of the grandkids shared the texts they liked with their friends. One of the grandkids said they wanted me to write on a variety of subjects that they wouldn't hear about in school. So I did.

I presented these texts to my grandkids with the understanding that they were about techniques and ideas that worked for me and they may or may not work for them. It was up to them to try some of these techniques and ideas to discover for themselves which texts were valid for them. I did not want them to believe something just because I believed it.

The ideas and techniques in the weekly texts were presented in a fractal text writing format. Then the Grandkids didn't have to read the entire text beginning to end. They could use their iPhones to scroll around on the texts to see what caught their interest. They could then just read that part and still get the text's general message.

When the fractal writing format is used in book form, it allows the reader to skip around to different subjects or read parts of the subject that might be of interest to them. The fractal writing technique also works well with Kindle and eBooks because they have scrolling capabilities. The reader can just read a part of the book and still get a good message.

The subjects I wrote about were designed to stretch the readers' imagination and boundaries so that they would have the opportunity to consider possibilities that they might not have otherwise considered.

Some of the major themes of the texts were to help the grandkids take responsibility for themselves and to learn how to create what they want in their lives.
The themes also included the importance of having fun, understanding learning experiences , developing their talents and being all they can be.

The message to you, the reader of this book, is that the fifty six Fantastic Grandkids texts may help you discover answers to many of the questions or issues you will encounter in your life's journey. Hopefully you will find these Fantastic Grandkids texts interesting and fun to read and they will also help to make your life more interesting, exciting and fulfilling.

    About the Authors

Comments from the Fantastic Grandkids on the weekly texts.

This is so amazing, Grandfather! I love how we’ve been reading your messages in fractal text writing this whole time, what an awesome realization! I’m having a blast reading back through the past messages using this fractal technique, thank you so much!

    —Jackson

I liked the text on synergy. My coach has been talking about synergy recently and how we can come together and bond. Also, because he is a new coach and not everyone knows him, so he wants us to feel like a family or brotherhood while still being able to compete at a high level

    —Ashton

OMG, I just read the text on Young lady old lady perspective in class once I got my work done. Thank you, Grandfather, I really appreciated that that cool text.

    —Maddie

I particularly resonated with the text on the Power of Synergy. I personally believe that synergy is a key piece in working with anyone. I promote synergy within my 5th grade students by making sure we build trust and friendship in my classroom community first, and then fostering that collaboration. Synergy produces so much good energy and is essential in working with any kind of team

    —Sydney

I especially liked the texts that included how to obtain excellence in music and sports. I will give you a red heart reply when I like a text.

    —Emma

The text on the concept that laughter has benefits was super enlightening for me, as it’s always been something humans just do. After learning that there are actual health benefits from laughter, it’s made being happy a lot more enticing. haha!!

    —Hannah

Thanks Grandfather, I found the text on imagination very helpful, and I appreciate it.

    —Maddie

I love all the texts that I receive from you Grandfather. They are always so inspirational, and I always learn something new every time. One of my favorite texts was about music and how it affects our daily lives even though we might not think about it. It can be used in so many ways and different types of music can make us feel a numerous number of emotions. I learned that there are rhythmic motions within our own body, like the beat of our own heart, that help keep us alive. I also really enjoyed learning how music can have a healing effect on our body and can even help with brain function and with overall health. I’m excited to see what new unique components musicians and composers add to their music in order to help people in their daily lives.

    —Ben

Wow! The text on mandalas was so cool. I really appreciated it!

    —Maddie

I really liked your thoughts about music and how it relates to our lives. It makes sense that we would prefer sounds we are familiar with and beats that mimics our heartbeat. I have been thinking about that every time I listen to a song since reading your text about it!

    —Amy

I really enjoy the texts about intuition and how important it is to stay in touch with your own intuition. It is so easy to get caught up in day-to-day life and forget to listen to what your inner self is trying to tell you, so I truly appreciate the reminder from you grandfather. It helps me to remember to tap into my own mind. My mind is my greatest power.

Balance between social media and thinking

    To all you Fantastic Grandkids:

Today I would like to talk about a balance between using social media and electronic devices to have fun and using your thoughts to create what you want.

We live in a world that values social media and electronic devices over thoughts. Therefore, people don’t spend much time thinking or using their thoughts to deliberately create their experiences.

We are here to have fun and to learn how to use our thoughts to create what we want. People will have a much more exciting life if they can learn to combine social media and electronic devices along with using their thoughts to create what they want.

People talk on social media about doing something, every day, and end up never doing it because it is not the focus of their thoughts.

On the other hand, a person may focus their thought on doing something, every day, without talking about it on social media and the job gets easily done. This is because the energy that is focused by their thoughts is used to bring the event they are thinking about into their experience.

Our thoughts are also more valuable than words on social media because our thoughts are the contents of our mind. It is our mind, not social media that makes us who we are. Most people have never been exposed to the value, the power, and the creative use of their inner most thoughts. That is why they value social media over thinking. Thinking includes telepathy or mind to mind communication and using their thoughts to create what they want rather than what they don’t want.

Most people are so busy with social media or using electronic devices that they don’t take the time to develop their important thinking ability. Our lives will become much more exciting and fulfilling if we both have fun with our electronic devices and take the time to develop our creative thinking. Hopefully, the weekly texts I send will help you meet that objective.

This next week, try the exercise of mentally finishing the sentence of those you talk to. This
