Becoming a Positive Thinker!

The act of thinking is a natural phenomenon to everyone, sane or insane. Generally, thinking heightens your knowledge about things around you, it sharpens your instincts, enlarges and deepens your scope of understanding and illuminates your mind. Knowing others, they say, is wisdom, and knowing yourself is enlightenment. However, what you think about and how you respond to your thoughts per time describes your philosophy of meanings and primarily underlines your basis for interpreting everything around you.

Thinking sets your brain at work. Thinking develops your mind, it affects the way you interpret situations and the kind of decisions you make in your daily life. Consequently, although everyone thinks, not everyone thinks constructively. Constructive thinking engenders positive actions while destructive thinking hinders positive actions! The act of creative thinking is therefore important to the realization of dreams! Creative thinking magically and practically converts vision to reality.

However, you see it, creative thinking is inherent in the art of dreaming and it has enough power to create its reality by itself. Dreams are like beams of sun rays, unless dimmed, will travel into the scenes of a future to play like a film.

I once read a story told by Jack Canfield in the book: Chicken Soup for the Soul. It goes like this:

There was a young man - son of an itinerant horse trainer who would go from stable to stable, race track to race track, farm to farm and ranch to ranch, training horses. As a result, the boy's high school career was continually interrupted. When he was a senior, he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.

That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal of someday owning a horse ranch. He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, the stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000square-foot house that would sit on the 200-acre dream ranch. He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the
