Fright Vault Volume 10 - William Schumpert
That’s Entertainment!
Susie made a call for the family.
Dinner’s ready!
They all heard her and made their way in. First was the husband Greg. Their 7 year old son Jerry would follow. Then little Rachel- only 4. One followed by the other. Greg would come in through the living room as the kids raced down the stairs.
Smells great! What are we having?
I thought it would be best if we had meatloaf.
Jerry and Rachel weren’t too happy with the choice but they saw the chocolate pie in the kitchen. They were ready to eat whatever it took to get that dessert.
Now you two. You have to eat your dinner first.
They would grunt, even as they knew it was the task at hand.
You heard your Mother. She worked hard to make tonight’s dinner.
They gave a sigh as they sat in their chairs. Disgust was all they could think of as the meatloaf was put on the table.
Now let’s eat up.
Greg was more than ready after a hard day at work. It seems that they’ll never give him the raise he wants at the factory. The grind was unforgiving but he always had his family in mind.
So how was your day?
He was reluctant to answer at first. But he knew if nothing was said then it would cause trouble...
I caught it!
Yelled Jerry a few feet away.
Great work son!
