Reviews for Invincible Vol. 1

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Man. Invincible is such a neat comic to read. Sure, the animated show runs things a bit differently, but the spirit is the same. I enjoyed both.
If you are a bit tired of the more popular facade of the comic-world, Invincible is a good option to get a breather. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Probably would not have kept reading if I wasn't told something big happens later.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Mark Grayson is a regular high school student, except his father is the most powerful superhero on earth and Mark is starting to develop powers of his own. This was a lot of fun; the characters are believable and the humor is great. The storyline is mainly Origin story, but it's evident that the potential is there for a fantastic series. The art is fitting for the story of a teenager superhero as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The best superhero comic of the past decade. It has all the tropes and a certain level of realism, while still being cartoonish with the art.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I picked this book up on the recommendation of the guys from iFanboy.com (by the way, if you're a comic fan you should check out their site and podcast; good stuff). They recommended Invincible countless times on the podcast and finally I had to see what all the fuss was about. The book did not disappoint. The story of a teenager who discovers he's inherited his father's superpowers is a whole lot of fun. I liked the family and school stuff just as much as the super-hero stuff. I will definitely be picking up the next trade.
