Intriguing.
A very different yet reasonable outlook, maybe an alien would describe our lifestyle like this.
I would love to refer this one to my people. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

The Story:
A seriously cute comic about a group of beings and their experiences on this strange planet. I love their point of view and their quirky vocabulary. My only fault with the book, which may not really be a fault but just the way I’m used to seeing it presented, is it was kind of overwhelming reading it all straight through. I’m used to seeing them shared by the artist daily on his Instagram page and I think that is what I prefer. This would make an excellent coffee table book as I feel it could start many enjoyable conversations.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

So cute! The aliens observe the strangeness of the world around them.
Favorite things include the "seriousness cloth" and the "hot danger screamer."
Also looking forward to requesting a mutual limb enclosure from a loved one now. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

I read this for the "A Comic Book" part of my 2020 reading challenge. I knew I loved his comics from what I had seen online, but having them all in one collection made them so much better. Some of these were familiar, but a bunch were new to me and all were really clever and funny. I'm really excited he's doing a second collection. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5

This is a short book of ironic humor. The author provides a common sense point of view of common experiences. The terminology and explanations provide insight into some of our illogical activities. Moderately humorous. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

My introduction to the Strange Planet comics and I loved it! Interpreting the formal alien dialogue was half the fun: "Imagine pleasant nonsense" for "sweet dreams"; "may we initiate obscure and pursue" for "can we play hide and seek?"; "sustenance preserver" for "refrigerator; 'mouthpush" for "kiss." Outrageous and hilarious! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

I loved this book. I love the idea of someone else trying to explain things that we do everyday. It really made me laugh out loud. Strange Planet is a comic based around a simple concept, the retelling of everyday events on a strangle planet. Yet, despite being such a simple concept it's the execution that makes it hilarious. The wording combined with the little alien facial expressions when relaying ordinary events such as when the parent alien is sitting at the dining table with the child alien and there is salad left on the dinner plates and the parent alien tells the child alien to 'ingest your leaves' the child replies 'I do not desire leaves' to which the parent replies 'put the leaves in your mouth' to which the child replies 'it is an unpleasant sensation'. The parent then states 'life will be full of unpleasant sensations, you need to experience a wide range so you can properly gauge which ones are worst' and ends with the child alien banging his head on the dining table. Vastly better with the illustrations, trust me. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5
