    A Pleasant Stop

    CHECK IN. PUNCH THE clock. Turn in your time sheet. Advise your supervisor. Grab your to-do list. Out on the floor. Beat the clock. On the double! Time and time again it was the same for Mark- the same routine every day, on and on it went. Oh how mind numbing it became; bestowed to nothing but the same old job, that same old chore day in and day out.

    Check the clerk. Clean your station. Fill your papers. Deliver the notes. On the double! Never ending and always the same. The 34 year old employee worked hard every day. But deep in his mind  his body and soul grew weary from the daily grind.

    And another routine checkup. Another clock-in; another clock-out. It was the same, and the same once more

    Mark could have taken a simple, more reasonable alternative as a humble associate. A bank teller or even as a sales clerk. Yet the lure of the wealthy lifestyle drove him to an elaborate degree in business; a master's degree even. He could have it all but wanted nothing, a squandering fool who chose the path of greed.
