The Pleasantry
HEATHER COULDN’T BELIEVE it. The day finally came! And she knew the letter she received in the mail was going to grant the wish she had for 10 years.
The letter addressed from the real estate agency, and she could hardly believe it. The 27 year old brunette was never one to giggle with joy or prance up and down. But the moment had finally arrived as she tore open the envelope as her green eyes sparkled like emerald.
Yes!
It was in fact the deed for her dear grandfathers house!
She was overcome with so much joy. Happy knowing that his inheritance wasn't squandered. And his elaborate estate would remain where he built it.
It only took a few days for her to pack up and make her way to her new home- so ecstatic that it only felt like a few hours of time. And the drive through the country side was pleasing... Such a vast forest with what seemed to be an infinite amount of trees along the road. But for some reason or another Heather always had a tense feeling entering the woods. It felt so dark and empty despite the vastness. And she felt a sense of fear overcoming her as she drove her way to the estate...
But her enthusiasm shook the notion immediately as she made her way down the road.
