THE VENUE: Guy’s Cliffe House, Warwick
THE HAUNTING: Guy’s Cliffe House derives its name from the legendary Guy of Warwick, a Robin Hood-type hero who’s said to have ridden round the country on a monstrous beast called the Dun Cow. The 18th century Gothic mansion has fallen into ruins, but the estate still includes stables, a church, and underground wine cellars. It’s had many uses – a hospital in World War One, a school for orphaned children in World War Two, a pub and a riding school. The old church is currently used as a Masonic Temple.
