    INTRODUCTION

    Physical fitness is the ability of a person to perform some type of physical activity. It is about the natural condition that human beings have to do any activity. It can be developed over time, as any quality can be improved through practice and effort.

    Each person has a different physical quality for what they do best, however, whatever that quality is, one must have good physical fitness. The whole idea of physical fitness is related to the organic capacity of a person to efficiently carry out an exertion that involves the use of the body. Those who have good physical fitness manage to perform exercises for an extended period without experiencing symptoms of fatigue and then manage to recover in a short period.

    Physical fitness is also related to the total health and well-being of an individual. One who is not physically fit is not healthy in any way.

    Too many people have accepted ailments such as headaches, backache, and depression as normal. We may readily believe the discomfort we suffer is a natural consequence of wear and tear, and not realize that we can change that. Our body is our most precious possession, yet many of us give little attention to it. we interfere with our natural flow of movement to an extent that many of us will at some time in our lives suffer from some ailments.

    In this book, I hope to explain as much as possible the exercises and other procedures to be done to help you enjoy a happier and healthy life.

    CHAPTER ONE

    PHYSICAL FITNESS AND NUTRITION

    Life is filled with different areas, and there are very few that are within your control. However, two areas can have a major effect on other areas of your life, and you have to take daily positive choices in the right direction. These two areas are Physical fitness and nutrition. Whatever you do about your body matters a lot when it concerns your health.

    Through nutrition, organisms assimilate the food and liquids necessary for their functioning, and of course for their growth. The human being, within its stages of development like any other living being, has development phases in which the amount and type of food it requires varies. We can define nutrition as the biological process in which organisms assimilate the food and liquids necessary for the functioning, growth, and maintenance of their vital functions. Nutrition is also the study of the relationship between food, health, and determining a diet.

    We need to maintain our vital functions. This is achieved through the hemostatic balance of the organism at the molecular and microscopic levels. The goal of hemostasis is to maintain a constant amount of
