What is metabolic health?

Metabolic health plays a fundamental role in our overall health. It involves a range of complex biochemical processes that occur within our bodies. These processes are responsible for converting the food we eat into energy that our body needs to function. While there is no formal definition of metabolic health, when we are metabolically healthy, our bodies can process nutrients appropriately without causing unhealthy effects on markers like our blood glucose levels, blood fats, and blood pressure.
