Dedication
To the little Black girl in me who never gave up and dared to think she could, so she did…
Why I wrote this book
Akwaaba! Means welcome in the Akan language of Ghana. I wrote this book to share my experiences of growing up as a Black woman in the ghettos of America to traveling the world and walking through the door of return while visiting the homeland of my ancestors, Mama Africa… West Africa, Ghana.
