About this ebook
Amariyah is enjoying her birthday, partying it up with several friends who just happen to be in a band together. One of the band’s members presents a particular problem for her, however; the band’s drummer, Paolo. Amariyah has had a crush on Paolo for as long as she can remember, and being near him is both exciting and nerve-wracking. As her friends ply her with drinks, she catches an interesting bit of gossip about the handsome drummer from another member of the band.
Paolo has been a bit distant with Amariyah, though he is friendly to everyone; when the rest of the band members perform karaoke, he chooses a song that he knows Amariyah loves. But is it just a considerate move from a good friend? And what is the project he’s working on?

Under normal circumstances, she could console herself that no one watching her would really care—that they’d be too drunk to notice if she messed up. But the friends who had put her up to this were another matter; they were all musicians, members of a band together including the lead singer.
