About this ebook

Travis has been watching every day for a week as a beautiful woman walks past his home on some mysterious errand. Though she’s completely unaware of the fact, her daily passage outside of his house has become a source of inspiration for the troubled musician, isolated from the wider world and weary. When she appears limping one day, Travis finds himself actually interacting with her for the first time.

Sophie, unaware of the musician’s fascination with her, finds herself in the hands of an unexpected good Samaritan, and is intrigued when his interest begins to become apparent.

He was staring out, waiting for a particular sight — a sight he was beginning to lose hope of. He sighed, leaning his forehead against the deliciously cool window pane and watching his warm breath condense in fog on the glass.

Every day for the last week, he had seen her walk past his home. Travis reminded himself that she may have skipped today; the rain would daunt anyone.

He had been something of a recluse for six months; he had money enough to avoid working, and as he had told his manager he had some things to work out.
