About this ebook

Isabelle is nervous heading into a major concert as the opening act for an internationally-known band. While she has always been attracted to Josh, the lead singer of the band she is opening for, she has never allowed herself to even entertain the thought of anything more than friendship occurring between them, reasoning that it would make things awkward.

A chance question from an interviewer, along with an offer she can’t refuse, might just be enough to make it necessary to reconsider.

Isabelle found herself fidgeting in her seat, playing with and picking at the lace overlay on her corset as she tapped her foot just a few beats faster than the sound check coming over the backstage speakers. She had a beer close to hand but found that her stomach was roiling too much for her to want it, in spite of knowing that it might dull her nerves slightly.

It was the biggest show she was scheduled to play to date, and in her excess of nerves she had gotten ready more than an hour early for her set. She had also agreed to sit down for an interview with a journalist for a music magazine, so she reckoned to herself that it was just as well that she was already dressed and made up.
