Affirmations for Women in Business - Linda Mercury
Introduction
As a solo entrepreneur , encouragement gets me through my projects. Discouragement and fear are real parts of being a woman, especially for Black, Indigenous women, sexual minorities, transwomen, and women of color. It is rough. And if you have a less than stellar in-person support system -people who believe in you and your vision of a better world- it is even harder.
As Tim Rice has Eva Peron say in the play, Evita, Sometimes it's very difficult to keep momentum, if it's you that you are following.
The images naturally sorted themselves into four significant themes: abundance, strength, creativity, and community. A number of business problems can be solved by using these four areas as a lens to focus on solutions.
To use this book and images, open to a random page to give your brain a brainstorming/problem solving prompt. I have included journal ideas and other suggestions for most affirmations. Some speak for themselves and need no extra verbiage. All of them are here for you in times of conflict, confusion, or overwhelm.
At no point should you use any of these sayings as a club to beat yourself. In my mind, we are all reaching across time and space to help each other succeed. The affirmations come to you with warmth, joy, and a sense of exploration.
I want all women who read this book to find succor, courage, and sisterhood here. I see you. I believe in you. Together, we are unstoppable.
Please write to me. I yearn to hear your visions of a better world.

P.S. All the quotes in this book are from The Dream Factory, an adorable magical realism story from Shéa MacLeod and me. I originally wrote these affirmations to be a mentor for the main character, something for her to consult when she was distraught.
So here it is - the affirmations book that gave solace and advice to both my main character and to me. I hope this book brings you back to your awesome self.

To all the women who have ever been told, Girls can’t do that.
Those people are wrong.
You can do that.
Isolation has been the normal during the COVID pandemic. However, I have been gifted with many amazing friends who have fed me, uplifted me, brainstormed with me, and believed in me.
At one point of my life, I was very lonely. I could not imagine having anyone in my life who thought I was wonderful. If you are in such a place in your life, I
