The New Normal

About this ebook
The coronavirus has changed our world forever. It will probably never go back to what it was pre-pandemic. But perhaps we needed something like a pandemic to step back and smell the roses, so to speak. Perhaps we needed the time to breathe deeply and just slow down. Possibly, we needed to see all the beauty around us and within us. Or, we needed to see how precious and valuable our family and close relatives are. Finally, we needed to stop the noise and just be.
But now as we are moving past the worse of the pandemic, we realize that we were part of something that’s bigger than we ever experienced before. However, despite this, if you are reading this book and you haven’t had Covid, or if you had it and survived, I hope you will feel grateful and hopeful. It is important to be Covid free. And if we are, we are really reaping some benefits of self-isolation and mask wearing.
There’s no doubt that the virus has changed our world and transformed how we live. It upended our sense of normality. However, it’s important to also remember that it hasn’t overhauled who we essentially are. You are still the same unique person who you were pre-pandemic. You can still choose to be whatever you want to be. You can continue to slow down and take some time for yourself. You can turn inward and make time for your hobbies. You can choose to be kind to your family, close relatives, and friends. And you can choose to be resilient. In other words, you have the power within yourself to be your best self. No virus or pandemic will ever take that away from you unless you let it. So, take a deep breath and enjoy who you are and how resilient you have become.

About the Author
Introduction
In December 2019, our world changed, and it is feasible that it will never be the same again. The only thing we will have to establish as time goes on is the so-called new normal which at the moment we are fighting because we don’t want things to be different.
Simply put, the lives of every member of our human civilization was completely disrupted and changed by the lowest life form on earth, an invisible germ. We do not know how it happened. But we do not know that our life was turned upside down and will never be the same.
It is still unknown whether some kind of virus will keep ravaging us for the rest of our lives or if there will be some new mutations. But what is certain is that our life will be different in almost every way from here on.
In this e-book, I will explain the new normal as it is now and how we can prevent ourselves from getting ill in the future. Only we can ensure that we stay healthy, happy, and Covid-free. I am flummoxed by how little people know about this virus, much less what they will admit. But that is something that we will all have to sort out for ourselves. But this topic is outside the realm of this e-book.
The pandemic has not only altered common activities, such as where and how we exercise and shop, but also upended basic human necessities like how we eat, sleep, work, and interact with others. What was normal about being in an office, going out to eat, or seeing friends and family in 2019 isn’t the same today and probably never will be.
Just like 9/11, the pandemic has opened our eyes to a new, previously inconceivable threat, a never seen, high impact respiratory pathogen, and transformed how we approach our health, what we perceive is important in our lives and even what we believe is possible. It’s like we have become much more vigilant and fearful for our present and future.
The way we set things up with this virus, we never know when or in what form the mutations of these new strains of this deadly virus will appear. Will it ever end? Again, this is something that I am sure scientists are looking at carefully and is beyond my examination in this work. But as Dr. Jennifer Ashton states, "The coronavirus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon." However, I am concerned that not only virus mutations but also quarantines will be
