"Oh very young, what will you leave us this time.
You’re only dancing on this Earth, for a short while
And though your dreams may toss and turn you now
They will vanish away………….."

HUMAN
We are all born as a blank book.
As toddlers, as babies we don’t know diddly squat about life. Nothing. It is as if we have just been switched on, forced rather rapidly into becoming aware of our surroundings. The mind is there waiting, has been there for a while, ready to go. Just waiting for those sensors to kick in and start gathering information. Waiting for that first breath. Birth. And then it happens.
The skin, suddenly exposed to the stimulus of air. No longer suspended in embryonic fluid but exposed to the Earth’s atmosphere. A rapid change in temperature not experienced before in the womb. A change in pressure.
Experiencing real sound, rather than the muffled vibrations reverberating within the previous embryonic home. The cry out in shock at the noise. And this makes…..More noise! More shock, it’s all happening. What’s next?
No more darkness. Instead, massive sensory visual input from their new world. Smell and taste kick in. Yet more information for the new mind, rudely awoken from it’s peaceful existence, to process.
It is from this moment, this moment of first awareness, that we start to learn. We learn first and foremost throughout our lives via direct experience. Experience is the information that is garnered using our sensory abilities to gather sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. This information is processed by our brains, stored in our memory so that it may be utilised by the mind later. Before this moment of virgin awareness occurs, about as useful as a fork for soup is the mind of an unborn human. The mind does not grow with the body. The mind grows by learning and utilises this growing ability as the body and therefore the experiences develop in variety, as the body is able to do more and more complex tasks.
Experience. That’s how we learn people. People
