I dedicate this book to my dear mother who five years ago went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. If she was here today, there would be so many intricate details of my life, I would share with her. She was a woman who spoke what was on her mind and although it would sometimes hurt your feelings, she spoke truth. My prayer before the Lord called her home was to reconcile our relationship and that she accepts salvation. God granted me the desires of my heart, the day she gave her life to Christ, my husband, our children and I witnessed this momentous occasion.

I am grateful that God allowed me to immerse you in the water during your baptism and to rise again to live your new life in Christ Jesus. Also, it was an honor to be your caregiver prior to your transitioning, you held me in your arms when I took my first breath and I held you in my arms when you took your last. Mom I love and miss you more than audible words can ever express, until we see each other again, rest peacefully!

I have known Erica since she was a child and before. She was a happy-go-likable person, smart and mouthy. She’s from a military family with three siblings, she being the oldest. As she will tell her readers, she was a daddy’s girl. At the age of eleven, her world was shattered and she was taken, by force, on a trip that would almost destroy her until she learned that where sin abounds, Grace abounds even more.

This book is a read all for everyone, but especially anyone who is or has experienced stepping out of the protection of the Cross. Since Erica is, by profession, a Nurse Practitioner, she mixes the spiritual diagnosis with the medical – healing for the body and spirit.

This book explains that we were made for and with a purpose from the foundations of the world, and once that purpose is interrupted, things begin to fall out of place, sort of disarrayed. But, JESUS tells us in:

1 Peter 2:29 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

We are HIS and not of ourselves – this book tells us if we fall into separation, how to get back to HIM, as quickly as we can.

Erica completely opened up to some very personally stuff in an aid to help others find their way to Christ because of her love for others. This reminds me of Paul’s ministry and what he endured because he loved JESUS and the brethren. We, as Christians should be willing to do the same.

Thank you Erica, for sharing, barring any shame, to help others find their place in this holy nation that we are a part of and to acknowledge that our citizenship is not of this world, but the Heavenly Kingdom and the requirements to live there – forever!
