Your mind is a very powerful thing; although, most of us go through life without realizing the power that the mind can hold. You need to understand that you are what you think. We are a species of repetition, for good or for bad. How much time do you spend thinking about negative or painful situations constantly replaying in your mind? It’s ironic how we want happiness; yet we keep chasing our suffering. Over and over again, the mind restructures and reframes our pain to keep us in a very uncomfortable place causing us to suffer more than we actually need to. The mind is key to all chapters of life. It will reveal what’s been deposited from the soil of your existence. Your thoughts influence how you feel and how you think. If you think you are a failure, you’ll start believing that you are a failure. Then you’ll act like a failure and begin to live like a failure because your beliefs say that you are. Your mind will make you believe that you have low self-esteem, that you’re unworthy, fearful, unfitting, depressed, shameful, disgraceful, and humiliated. Once you draw a conclusion about yourself, you’ll look for the evidence that reinforces what you believe about yourself. It’s so easy to park our minds in a bad place that will bring us nothing but emotional emptiness and pain. I want you to know that once you acknowledge those emotions, instead of burying them, it will change your life! We will always be the masters of our own thoughts, even in our weakest moments.
