About this ebook
Love
To spread to
All mankind
What is there but
Love
It only takes
Being kind
What is there but
Love
To give
To another
What is there but
Love
We all came from
One mother
“Love doesn’t give you the right to treat me wrong. Love doesn’t give you the right to lie. Love doesn’t give you the right to disrespect me. Love doesn’t give you the right.”
- Mary Love Dance
Mary Love Dance
Mary Love Dance has been a devoted wife since 1984, is a proud mother of two sons and is a doting grandmother. She is a caring friend, teacher, school administrator, volunteer and author. Dance is a philanthropist and a community activist with a focus on youth, community service, leadership and academics. Passionate about the lives of others, especially the youth in America, she spends countless hours providing services to her community, students and educators. She developed a love of poetry at an early age and began to write in middle school. This collection of poetry is from her perspective, the lives and hearts of others she encountered throughout her life. The essence of those experiences is compiled in this book. Don’t be surprised if you discover part of yourself in these writings.

This book is
dedicated to my family whom has shown me the true meaning of love and the struggles families have around loving one another. Love is complicated and beautiful. The old adage there is a thin line between love and hate is true. I hope you find these poems comforting, enlightening and it makes you think about the love you share and experience each day.
The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.
- Helen Keller
