"Compendium of Aphorisms" is a collection of thoughts, feelings, expressions, and inner reflections printed in words. Little pieces of that essence that makes us human, that still separates us from machines. It's an open letter to anyone that relates, that has felt or toyed with the possibility of giving themselves up to experimenting with their heart, that has actually loved or has been loved, that has gone through the rush of a life-changing kiss, the inexplicable euphoria of creating life, the uncontrollable urge to cry, or the majestic experience of making love.

"Compendium of Aphorisms" will awaken your senses and open your heart to the possibility of humanizing your world.

What motivates us to keep trying? When does the world become so somber that the only thing we can see is the way out? How did we loose our way?

I would like to say that I know the answer, that I understand the pain and the courage it takes to decide that it’s the final hour. It’s not so, if I only knew.

There are only a few things of which I am certain in my life, that are written in stone and I would like to share them with whoever will listen.

Never loose your sense of wonder at the world around you, of the possibility of discovering something new every moment, of learning, of understanding that every person is a bundle of stories, of teachings, an endless stream of feelings, of warmth, of love.

If you allow the world to surprise you, every day will be a new reason to wake up, a new dawn filled with illusion to discover what destiny has planned for you and days will be an everlasting adventure, you will have a young soul, a hungry heart, an open mind willing to experiment it all. Sadness will pass and pain will be ephemeral. Admiring trivial things will become a habit, a challenge to find beauty in everything that surrounds you, inside you, until the end of your days. Until time decides that you have lived enough, that you’ve seen too much, that your soul is filled.

The thing is that the soul does not fill up in quantity, it fills up in quality, there’s beings that live for a day and others that live over a hundred years but the soul doesn’t understand time or space and it fills up with love.

They say that the soul weights 9 grams, if 9 grams is all the love we would need to fill up our souls, how easy it would be to be happy!

If you love something about me, love who I am, what transpires thru my skin, what flows thru my veins, what defines me as a person, what determines my being when I’m naked, disarmed, exposed, when all I have is my decorum, my integrity, my honor, my character, my capacity to cry in gale, to laugh copiously, to love without offering more than my beating heart, the warmth of my arms holding yours, the clarity of my soul, the time that decides my destiny.

Because all the possessions we own are only a shell that will die and fall when it matures, with the change of the seasons, the whim of vanity, the mark that precede.
