About this ebook

Contemplation Letter From LeRoy

Now that we are through volume III, I want you to realize that your life brings you to a certain place and in that place I hope that you are getting clarity with your life. My life journey is a trying set of circumstances but know that I have to keep moving in order to make my dream come true. No one that I have heard from over my course of living said that your dreams would be easy. I want you to each day take a step toward your dreams never allow anyone to take you totally off course. You have to each day meditate on your vision. Give yourself room to see your vision, I will do the same. We all need to allow GOD into our lives and live each day with a smile. I hope that volume three has helped you to realize your potential. Be ready for volume IV soon.

Leroy Flemming

LeRoy is a graduate of Alabama State University an HBCU in Montgomery, Alabama. He received his bachelor of science degree in business management. He started writing pieces in 2000 when his mother passed away. He tells us that if it had not been for these pieces he may not have had any peace with such a tragic loss in his life. He often finds his spirit struggling with a question his brother James left him with before their mother passed. He asked over the phone: “What if something happen to mom and you don’t make it back in time? LeRoy’s answer was: “I will make it man I’m not that far away.” He didn’t make it there in time and these writings are his way of reflecting back, thinking forward in his present moments. He does not want you to cry for him. He just wants us all to make the most of the life we live by spending time with the ones we love and some time alone thinking about what our lives really mean.

    Contemplation Letter From LeRoy

    Dedication

We are now into volume three. Here we are going deeper into the meaning of my writings. I think back to a time when my mind was racing with the thoughts of success. What does it mean? What does it look like? What does it feel like? Will I know it when I am there? I, like you, have dreams of wanting to take my life to what we call the next level. This level where you are living in your life’s goals and the realization that I have made it, but I will confess to you all here, I will always have a void in my dreams and goals. My life goals were connected to my mother. She was the center of my dreams, goals, and what I accomplished would be for her. She, like all women, has and will always do the best they can for their children and my mom was just this type woman. She did not have much but her love was boundless and as her child I wanted to give back to her to show her how hard I was working to accomplish my dreams and that she was a vital part of that. She would say to me every time I told her: Son don’t worry about me. You live for you I will be OK. This statement always force my to try harder because she didn’t expect anything. You know life has a strange way of showing you what it will take to get to where you are and where you want to be. As I reflect back to those days, I see the ebbs and flows are electric. These ebbs and flows will take you down in your life and your brain will let your body feel it all. The feeling that made me feel I was close was false and my goals were far off in the distance and yet closer than I could see. Know matter if I made it or not my mom would not be a part of it physically and this hurts. When I see or read about a child who had those same dreams and they do it, I feel elated and sad at the same time. They put in a lot of hard work from their youth. They set goals and she encouraged them like my mom did and they made it. I love to see that for them. The smiles that goes with that has no price tag. I will never experience this but it will not stop me from chasing after my goals and dreams I set for her to see and if you are reading this or anything that will inspire you to get out there on go after what you want in this life time you need to do it.

We come into this world not knowing what we can accomplish. You and I are going down life’s road that is filled with the unknown and believe me it is all unknown. The true beauty of it is your eyes will gradually open to ideas, inspiration, and wisdom. These three concepts have built the world of man and made him to reach heights that are beyond and ahead of his time. The one thing our physical world may not know collectively is that there is a higher power that flows through our inspiration. The wise men and women have spoken of this since the beginning of time. The only way for you and I to know this power is to keep on living and allow our lives to reveal that truth. This is dedicated to LIFE! ENJOY IT! LIVE IT! LOVE IT! IT IS ALL WE HAVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Enjoy volume three.

I want to say thank you to those individuals that placed hope in our world. I don’t want to call out any one in particular. I want you to think of someone who found you happy, joyful, encouraging, lost, confused, angry, upset, frustrated, and yes you are still trying to move through all that. This person came along and told you their story and it moved you to take action in your life. We could never make it if we didn’t have someone to believe in us.

You must know your value in this world even in the midst of overwhelming negativity. The purpose for your life no one can tell you although they can speak to certain aspects of your life. You are your own captain with a good out look on your life. Life will impact you in so many ways and you will have to deal with it no matter what. You know what you will have to do DEAL WITH IT! To acknowledge this will be a huge step to spark the course to your dreams. Your life! I don’t hold any keys to guide you. I don’t know what your emotions are like as you read these words. The one thing I know for certain in this life you need to see life as a blessing and you need to get on with enjoying all aspects. I want you to get out of your comfort zone by sitting down in the park alone, have a meal by yourself, read a book that you would not normally read, study the clouds, checkout the creatures big and small, tune your mind into what your life is telling you. This acknowledgment is all about you. LIVE AND ENJOY THAT PLACE WHERE YOUR JOY IS!!!!

    Faith

I woke and called out Alyssa’s name and I started crying, I was breathless My heart was pounding; I felt sad yet peaceful at the same time. I missed her so much but grateful GOD blessed me with that dream, that feeling of her. Numb that is how I felt for the days, months ahead. There was a day I got up got dressed and decided I needed to go to the grocery store. I was on my way out the door; the phone rang I answered on the other end was a young voice asking for Alyssa, (first time I had to tell someone) those words were hard to say. I asked who I was speaking to, They told me, I said I really don’t know you. He said Know I have been away for the summer! I said There was an accident I am sorry she passed away in July. The phone was silent. What do you say? There are no words and they are sure not easy to come by. There was a day I went to the grocery store. It truly was not easy. There is no book on how you react or feel,
