CHAPTER 1
POSITIVE THINKING
I ’m sure you must have heard this phrase before, you are what you think.
Yes, the product of your thoughts is your character, your behaviour, your habit. If you always think that you are poor, that you have no money, you show such mannerisms in the way you behave and you will not be able to see money making opportunities when they present themselves.
If you think you will fall sick anytime soon, trust me, you will fall sick.
If you think a guy or lady is far out of your league and that you cannot get that person you will be stuck with someone less than your dream person.
Another adage says What you see is what you get
I say What you think is what you get.
There was a joke I heard from a comedian that if a man who is rich in mind (a man who thinks he is rich) wants to buy egg roll and the price is N100, he will pay the money right away and get it. But if a poor man in mind, even if he has enough money wants to buy the same egg roll and he is told the same price he thinks and asks how much buns is and maybe he is told N20, he asks how much boiled egg is and he is told N20, he buys the buns and the boiled egg, he opens the buns and puts the boiled egg inside and eats it.
That’s the way a man poor in mind will act when the rich in mind will do things differently.
The poor in mind will think he has saved money, but the rich in mind will know that to enjoy life he will have to build businesses that will get him money to buy whatever he wants.
You might be thinking ‘hey, what if I’m trying to save some money?’
Good question.
Saving money is not an avenue to live or think like a poor person.
When you are trying to save money, you do it with the consciousness that you are making wealth for yourself.
You save for a better tomorrow so that when you want to buy buns or eggroll you get it without thinking of how much you are spending on it.
The best form of saving is investing.
Invest broadly, invest smartly.
If you are trying to invest money, you invest smartly by not buying liabilities, on impulse or things because your neighbour has it.
Get assets that appreciates and you get good returns and you too can be rich not just in mind but also in real life cash in hand and money in bank.
I read a magazine one day and I saw a study made by some scientists on how some women think. A very slim pretty and sexy looking lady was taken a picture of and had the picture photo-shopped so that she would have different sizes in the picture.
When the pictures were presented to her to pick the size she thought she was naturally including her original picture, she picked one of the fat pictures.
Now this woman is very insecure about her looks, she thinks she does not look slim and sexy. This feeling does not only rest in her but the insecurity she has about herself sends vibes to other people around her.
I will not be surprised if men do not approach her or if the ones that actually do approach her are those men that smell the insecurities of a woman and prey on it by sleeping with them for a night and never wanting to have anything to do with them again.
This feeling of insecurity is not only familiar with women
