Present Day Truth: Overcoming Death
()
About this ebook
Romans 10:1-3 speaks of Israel being ignorant of Gods righteousness. Because of their ignorance they go about establishing their own righteousness. I believe that the Christian world today can wear that scripture in bright orange. We have become a mixed breed of Christians. We have mixed the word of God and tried to fit it to the lifestyle we want to live. It is high time to break down the walls of tradition and religion and get to the root of our sin problem. We must come to a place of worshipping God in spirit and truth.
This teaching is based on Revelations chapter 21 concerning the eight sins that will separate us from the presence of God. I have shared some of my own personal experiences with you in hopes that you might understand the need to clean up your hearts and lives to be able to receive the promise of life. There is a way into that promised life but the word in Matthew 7:14 tells us that few will find the way. My hope and prayer is that this book will help you find that narrow road that will lead you into the life that God wants you to have.

About the Author
Foreword
I have been walking with the Lord for many years and have come through many realms/levels of the Spirit. The one thing I can truthfully say is that I have no regrets about any experience I have had. I have seen God move for me in the most wonderful ways, and the experiences have taught me so much about His great love for us. He has been wonderful to my children and family. He has given us love, protection, and the opportunity to have eternal blessings with all His creation. He has always been there for me in the good times and in the bad times. He has never let me down. When I cried out for His help, God heard me. He helped me many times when I did not realize I needed His help. He has given me knowledge and understanding concerning spiritual matters. He made me look at myself, so that I could discover who I was and who I could be through Him. Now, I know that I can reach the highest goals that He has for me because I can reach them through Him.
Let me share some of my experiences with you:
When my youngest son was about three years old, we lived in a rent house that used propane for heat. My landlord had gotten aggravated at the propane company that owned the gas tank that my house used. He did not want me to purchase any more gas from them. He wanted me to let my tank run out and then he was going to make the Propane Company come get their tank, so he could replace it with one from another company. I did what he asked and tried to watch the propane level, so that I would not run out of heating gas. It was in the middle of winter and extremely cold. You might guess that on the coldest night of the year, (5 degrees), I ran out of gas. In the early morning, the smell of gas woke me up. I didn’t know what to do except get on my knees and pray. It was too early to call my landlord for help or to drag my three little boys up out of a warm bed and take them somewhere. I said a simple prayer telling God that I was His child and if He wanted me and my children to be cold then I could not help it, but if He wanted to keep us warm then I knew He could. It wasn’t but a few minutes until there was a knock at the door. I went to the door and was surprised to see my propane deliveryman standing there. He apologized for waking me, but by him being a family friend, he knew that I would not be afraid to open the door for him. He stepped inside and explained that he had planned to do some driving around deer hunting before he had to go to work, but that his radiator kept freezing up. He asked if I would give him some hot water to pour in his radiator to help thaw it out. I told him that I had run out of gas, but that I still had plenty of hot water. I asked him to put a little gas in my tank until I could get my landlord to work out his tank problem. In just a few minutes he had put gas in my propane tank, lit all my pilot lights, and had gotten his hot water and was on his way to deer hunt. Neither my house nor my children had gotten cold.
Another experience I had was when I drove an old car for many months that did not have a working gas gage that let me know how much gas I had in the vehicle. To top that, I had a hole in the upper part of my gas tank, so I could only put a few gallons in at a time. I carried a gas can in the trunk of my car just in case I ran out of gas. At the time my young sons and I were going to church in a town about 20 miles from where we lived. We had to go through some pretty lonely stretches of highway to get to that town. We had been to church on a Sunday night and was going through a lonely stretch of highway, we were almost to the place that everyone called Dead Man’s Curve when the car ran out of gas. It was dark by this time. I got out of the car and went to the trunk to get the gas can only to find that I had forgotten to put gas in it. My middle son just looked at me and said, Moma lets pray
. We joined hands and prayed asking God to send us help. The very next car that came by stopped. Out of the car came two very helpful teenagers. They had been to a youth revival in town. They told us that they had asked God to let them be a blessing and help someone. The young lady talked with my boys and the young man siphoned gas out of his car and put in into mine. Once we got the car started, they insisted on following us home to make sure we made it ok. Once I pulled into my driveway, they just honked at us and off they went. I never saw them again, but I knew that my Father had sent them.
On another occasion I was going through a really rough time, I had moved and started a new job. Times were hard, and this particular week I had no money for food. On Saturday morning I was home alone and just praying when I heard a car drive up. I went to the door to see who it was. A lady minister that I had only just recently met was standing at the door. She had come up from Texas and was holding a revival in town. I had gone to the meetings with a friend and had met the minister. She told me that the Lord had told her to come to see me. She had asked around the community for directions to where I lived and found my house. She stayed only a few minutes and as she was leaving she put something in my hand and told me that the Lord had told her to bring it to me. After she drove off, I opened my hand and found a one hundred-dollar bill. That was enough money to get me by with food and gas for work until I got a paycheck. The Holy Spirit spoke to me during this time and told me that my cupboards would never lack for food again. Through the years, I may have had hard times in some areas, but since that time I have never seen my pantry empty again.
I remember once when my husband was in the army, that it had been six months since I had heard from him. He was on active duty stationed in another state. His company was very actively involved in training young soldiers, and I knew he was busy. Still, after six months of not hearing from him, I grew
