      Chapter 1

      This story is my life's testimony of how a child of abuse and neglect was able to find resilience through faith in the Lord. I have never shared these things until now. God works in wonderful ways. He will remove the people who are not for you out of your life and bless you with special souls to guide you on your path. Everything I have experienced spiritually I am about to explain. I spent thirteen years as a child life specialist running therapy groups for the behavioral health unit at the local city hospital. At my job interview, I was told I can't view this job as if I can save everyone; I have to view it as if I can save just one person. That advice is what I hope to accomplish in writing this book. There is someone out there who needs to hear my story. I can't explain why these things happened to me, but I can describe these events. Some
