About this ebook

The Seedplanter is about author Henry A. Whites love for God. The book is Whites means of sharing the truth about the Christian church and its mission. It speaks concerning Gods supremacy and of redemption. It speaks out against all religions and cults that oppose Christ. Furthermore, the book expresses its counter to many false teachings that lies within the Christian church that has crippled believers from moving forward.

The Seedplanter echoes the Bible verses Galatians 1:68 that says, I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you other than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

The book is saying that the church life should not just pass on doctrines or teachings but should sow spiritual seeds. The book also encourages readers to experience Christ as life so they can plant his righteous life into others as well. It expresses that it is our faith in Christ that makes one righteous and none other.

    INTRODUCTION

First of all, I would like to thank God for His knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. I pray that this book will inspire someone to get to know Christ and that it will encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to keep spreading the good news that Jesus is not dead, and that it does not matter where you are in life, if you are a Believer, it will all work out for your good!

I’m the grandson of the late Pastor Calvin Lucas and the nephew of the late Pastor H. W. White. Both of them I remember so well; both planted seeds in me in my youth that will show forth in my adulthood! So in my youth, I was raised in the house of God. I wondered off in my teenaged years, experiencing drugs, the street life, fighting, gangs, money, women, drugs, etc. I gave my life to Christ as a young adult. What a blessing knowing that you are in the hands of the Great Creator. There are no other hands I would rather be in than in His hands and in His care! I applied myself in studying the Scriptures day and night as a young adult; I settled down in the church; and I became a father of four, a husband, and a law-abiding citizen! My whole life changed.

I consider myself something of a Bible scholar, having had a very good understanding of the Scriptures as a young man. God granted me very good insight. I promise you, if you seek Him, you will find Him for sure. Yes, proclaiming the gospel is in my DNA! It’s in the genes. I’m like Lord. With all this knowledge and understanding that you have given me, I know it’s for your glory. What would you have me to do?

Listen, having already been a streetwise person, but this time, instead of being strapped with a gun, I’m strapped with the word! Armed and dangerous! God tells me to go back to where I came from—back to the streets—to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ! So I did just that, young, bold, eager, and ready for things to start happening. Before I was ordained to preach in the church, I was preaching on the streets. I’m also a former pastor, have given insight to many believers, pastors, prophets, preachers, and teachers.

The name SEEDPLANTER came to me years ago; to me, it’s a name that came from heaven on how I came about witnessing to people, planting the seed of Christ into the hearts of mankind! Seed planting should always be the church’s number one priority.

    Chapter One

I remember my grandfather, the late Rev. Calvin Lucas, the pastor of a Missionary Baptist Church and the best man I have ever known, taking me in as a child. I remember doing many things with him, like going fishing. He also worked for this fruit company, and I remember him taking me on his job on occasions.

His wife, my grandmother, is a strong woman of Christ, a strong woman of prayer, a woman of faith. She could not read nor write, but she knew how to pray. I commend my grandfather for choosing her to be his wife, despite her inabilities, despite those who would try to convince him that she wasn’t the one for him, telling him that she cannot read nor write; how can she be his wife? How can this woman be the first lady over a large congregation? Well, I’ll tell you how: God glorifies Himself in our inabilities. Those things we as humans declare to be impossible are possible with God. So like myself, my grandfather did not entertain the naysayers, and instead, he followed his heart!

I’m so glad God does not judge us by our outward appearance, God does not judge us on how many degrees we have; doctorate degrees do not impress God. Thank God that we have them, but God is not concerned about our degrees. He judges our hearts. My grandfather married a beautiful woman with a good heart! And she also was a praying woman; I’ve heard and witnessed her crying out to God in the midnight hour all by herself! Grandmother could pray the roof down, I’m telling yah! Ha, what a great choice, Grandpops!

Some of us choose our mates for many reasons but the right ones. We choose our mates for financial reasons. Some choose their mates because of their physical attraction or sexual reasons, which is not love but lust, and wonder why it will not hold up at the end of the day. Well, because we choose them for all the wrong reasons with the wrong motives behind us! We ought to choose how God chooses and start measuring the heart! Make sure that the person loves
