Mohammad sat in recovery, dazed with a bandage around his neck.

The paramedic from the accident scene, the one with the face of the boy next door was finishing filling out his paperwork.

I'm glad you’re going to be all right. He said with a wink to Mohammad before stepping around the privacy curtain. He gestured with his head to the three figures. Waiting. Holding back the curtain just long enough so they could enter. The paramedic then disappeared leaving Mohammad to face three Arab men. Advancing. They were Ali and Hassan, the two he knew, the third, holding a package, he did not.

He stared at the floor at the soles of their shoes.

What do you have for us, huh? What do you know? It was the concerned voice of Ali from the phone.

What of this boy and the Italian woman? Hassan stepped up less concerned his tone bespoke of a tyrant.
