Chapter 1 - The Power of Reproduction

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, and cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    Genesis 1:24-25

Creation is beautiful.  God made all things very good.

One of the greatest beauties of creation is the ability to create.  Every creature was given an innate ability to recreate of its kind.  And this brings great fulfilment.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    Genesis 1:28

Man is not an exception.  God gave man the power to produce children that look like him.

No one can ever enjoy barrenness.  From the onset God had put that desire in man.  As a matter of fact, God is also fruitful and everyone made in the image of God must be fruitful like Him.

This is the reason why human beings are ready to do just anything to have children.  You need to listen to the stories of couples (particularly women) who had a slow start in parenting.  Some went as far as allowing several operations and experiments to be performed on them.  Others did unprintable things.

Of course, they will do just anything to have children.  The human society attaches much importance to parenting.  And a family without children (particularly the woman) is recognised as a failure.  Although this is erroneous.

However, it is true that reproduction is very important.

More importantly, parenting is very interesting.  The child owes the parent almost everything he has.

Medical Science has discovered that just by a special blood test the parentage of a child can be ascertained.

When a man engages in sexual intercourse with a woman, the power (seed) of the man is introduced into the womb of the woman.  This seed (semen) fertilises the egg of the woman.

The fertilised egg is the foetus that eventually matures into a baby. This baby is the child of both the man and the woman.  The baby must have taken some part of its existence from both the man (father) and the woman (mother).

This is what is called reproduction.

No one can ever enjoy barrenness.  From the onset God had put that desire in man.  As a matter of fact, God is also fruitful and everyone made in the image of God must be fruitful like Him.

Everyone has the ability to give birth to a child and call the child by his or her name.  The ability is what we call power or authority for reproduction.

No one has the power or authority to give birth to a child and call it by another person’s name.  If he or she does, a criminal offence would have been committed.

You may not have the power to give birth to a child and call your child by my name.   Neither do I have the power to name my child after you.

This is what is called inheritance.  The name is an inheritance.   The blood group is an inheritance.  The genotype is an inheritance.  The health is an inheritance.  The colour of the eye is an inheritance.  The skin is an inheritance.  The colour of the hair is an inheritance.  Longevity is an inheritance.  The voice is an inheritance.  The height is an inheritance.  The body build is an inheritance.  The nationality is an inheritance.  The language is an inheritance.  The Intelligence Quotient (IQ) ia an inheritance.  Your beauty or otherwise is an inheritance.  Your status in society is also an inheritance.  Your genetic reflexes are by inheritances.

This is the power of reproduction.  Every creature has this power of reproduction.

The child of a lion is a lion.  The child of a goat is a goat.  The child of a snake is a snake.  The child of a man is also a man.  It is impossible for a lion and a lioness to give birth to a goat.

Chapter 2 - Benefit of Sonship

No child chooses his father.  You only grow to discover your parent.

However your parent determines a lot of things about your life.

It is true that every child is born alike.  But a lot of factors and circumstances of birth affect each child.  A number of children would have loved to be great economists on the earth.  A number would have loved to be the best Medical Doctor on the earth.  Some of them will love to be great politicians.  But the circumstances of their birth disqualified them.

For instance you cannot just decide to contest to become the royal king of your hometown unless you are born into a royal family.  In most places the son of a mad woman, who has no inkling who his father was may not be able to contest an election and win.

Several children have died of terminal diseases, not because of their own error but because of the indiscipline of their parents.

Meanwhile, when a son is born to a wealthy family, it is a great event.  That boy does not have to work before he becomes wealthy.  He has inherited wealth from his parents.

Sometimes ago, I was driving on the road in my car.  It was a very clumsy day in the city.  Transportation was very difficult to come by.  Most commuters were stranded in bus stops.

For instance you cannot just decide to contest to become the royal king of your hometown unless you are born into a royal family.  In most places the son of a mad woman, who has no inkling who his father was may not be able to contest an election and win.

I drove past one of such bus stops. It was not the kind of day I wanted to give assistance to anyone.  I just wanted to be alone.  Then all of a sudden, I heard Daddy!  It was my son and my daughter.  They too were stranded on the road, with their mother.

Of course, I had to stop and pick them up in the car.  And I was delighted to do it.  There were several others there but they were not my responsibility.

That is the benefit of sonship. It is a covenant relationship.

Chapter 3 - Born of God

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

    John  1:12

I am bearing Olowosoyo because my father bears that name.  He gave me the authority to bear that name.  No one cam stop me from bearing that name.  I have every legal power to bear that name.

Since my father is a Nigerian, I am also a Nigerian.  No one can stop me from being a Nigerian.  This is what we call heritage.

Now, since I have the right to bear the name Olowosoyo, I also have the power to give birth to children and call them by that name.  Therefore, it will not be wrong to say,  the son of Olowosoyo is Olowosoyo.  That is how the family is maintained.

Just by that singular action of salvation, you have been born into the family of God.  Not as a slave in the family but as a son and as an heir unto God.

I was standing on the road once with my daughter.  Then one of her colleagues in school was passing by.  That one shouted Olowosoyo.  And I thought she was calling me.  But my girl was actually the one who responded.  Initially, I felt embarrassed who was this small girl shouting my name?  But when my daughter responded, I realised the small girl was right.  My daughter had a legal right to answer the same name.  Olowosoyo is my name.  It is also her name.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

    John  1:12

When a man hears the gospel, he receives the Word of God.  You will remember that God is the Word.

In The beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    John 1:1

God is the Word.  Therefore, when a man hears the gospel, he has received a part of God.  Better still, you can say he has received the seed of God, the Power of God.

When creation was done in Genesis chapter 1, it was completely by the Word of God.  Therefore, it will not be out of place to call the Word of God, the seed (power of God).

The heart of man is like the womb of the woman.  It receives the gospel, the seed of  God.

When the heart responds to the gospel, we can say there was fertilisation or conception.  However, there is no birth until that individual confesses the Lord Jesus with his mouth.  And publicly declare his intention to be born again.  And then we say he is a new creature.

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.

    2 Corinthians 5:17

Just as a newborn baby, he is a new creature.  He is completely new.

This new person is not just a human being, he is a combination of the seed of God and the egg of the human being.  Therefore he is a god.  He is not God.  And he cannot be God.  To be God, he couldn’t have been born.  He needed to exist from the beginning

As a Son of God, you cannot beg for bread.  You cannot suffer like any other person.  All the strength of your father is made available to assist you, and establish you.

on his own.  Also since man is involved, the product cannot be God.  But since God’s seed is involved, the product cannot be completely human.  He is a god.

When a white man and a black woman are involved in sex and reproduction occurs, the child is neither black nor white.  It is a half-caste.  The same way the product of the Seed of God and the heart of man cannot be man, or God.  He is a half-caste, a god.

The implication of this is serious.  It means that the son has divine inheritance that cannot be removed.

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him that worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

    Ephesians 1:11

Just by that singular action of salvation, you have been born into the family of God.  Not as a slave in the family but as a son and as an heir unto God.

    That is great.

When a child is born into a wealthy family, everyone knows that it is a great thing.   All the slaves celebrate it.  Whether they like it or not,  they must serve the son.

As a Son of God, you cannot beg for bread.  You cannot suffer like any other person.  All the strength of your father is made available to assist you, and establish you.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people: that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not received mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

    1 Peter 2:9-10

Chapter 4 - Your Former Status

    And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now walketh in the children of disobedience:

    Among whom also we all
