    Gone but never forgotten

See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,

To root out and to pull down,

To destroy and to throw down,

    To build and to plant."

    "Therefore prepare yourself and arise,

And speak to them all that I command you.

Do not be dismayed before their faces,

Lest I dismay you before them.

For behold, I have made you this day

A fortified city and an iron pillar,

And bronze walls against the whole land—

    Against the kings of Judah,

    Against its princes,

    Against its priests,

And against the people of the land.

    They will fight against you,

But they shall not prevail against you.

For I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you."

    Jeremiah 1:10, 17-19

    Introduction

Proverbs reveals, In all your knowledge, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7). This is where so many of us miss the mark. We sit in church with our bibles and notebooks and write down what is taught, not taking the time to study what we received. We wait for the pastor to do the studying, we write our notes and never return to them. Sound familiar?

In pursuing our spiritual walk, many of us have allowed the cares of the world to pull us away from the plan God has for our lives. Our eyes focus on the world’s crises instead of the word of God. We’ve become position-minded instead of God-minded. God has a plan for us and it’s not just behind the pulpit. Everyone has a role and purpose in the Kingdom of God. Seeking our assignment for life, God has given us a firm foundation to build upon. It is the word of God.

My desire is to encourage all believers to stand once again on those foundational teachings for their spiritual life. Looking to the word and remembering how to incorporate the word in our lives. Walking in love and how it can really make a difference. We should not be confused in understanding the mission God predestined for us before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4).

It is important for us to get back to fellowshipping with God in order to learn His will for our lives. Through these reminders of foundational teachings, I pray we can reignite the fire within us and go forward in God’s plan. We are joint heirs with Christ, so no good thing will God withhold from us. (Psalm 84:11). A position in the church is not our goal. It’s about being obedient to the plan of God. I’ve discovered that God can use anyone who diligently seeks Him just looking at my life.

It has never been God’s intention for us to work for His grace and blessings. His desire has always been to be a God to us and we His people. All He has ever asked from us is to believe and trust
