I have had many secularists mock me as a Christian for believing in an eternal God. They’ve grinned and asked me the question, “So, who made God?” They then claim that it doesn’t make sense to believe in an eternal God.
EXISTING IN ETERNITY
The Bible makes it clear that God exists in eternity. He has always existed. He didn’t have a beginning. There are many verses of scripture that attest to the fact that God is everlasting – He is eternal.
The concept of God having no beginning is difficult for us to understand because we are created, finite beings.
Isaiah 40:28
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
