    Appreciation

My Appreciation goes to the Lord Jesus Christ, the true Shepherd. You have led me about like a sheep over these few years. And life had been exciting.

The consistent support of my precious wife Joke is highly appreciated.  If not for her sacrifice and understanding it would have been difficult to get here.

I am indebted to the leaders and members of the City Temple, Dugbe, Ibadan; the church I was pioneering when God gave me the revelations I shared in this book. Their eagerness to learn encouraged me.

Finally, the greatest resources of any organisation are the men doing the work. I want to appreciate every member of The Answer Bible Church, all partners and staff of the ministry.

Thanks. Your rewards shall not fail.

    Introduction

Without any iota of doubt, I think this is a peculiar period in the body of Christ.

A little while ago, I read in the Bible, the account given about the era of Eli, the priest of God in Shiloh. And I was baffled at the great resemblance between his era and ours.

Like Eli, Hophni and Phinehas the three Priests of Israel, our generation is about the most religious since the world began. But paradoxically, it is also the farthest generation from God, since the world began.

Hophni and Phinehas probably never had any relationship with God. They only heard about Him. They never understood Him. Neither did they make any attempt to please Him. Yet they served on His altar.

Eli knew that there was a God. But he had lost the knowledge of God. Neither did he hear the voice of God anymore. He had distanced himself from God.

Just like this generation, Eli and his sons followed God because they had no option. That was all they could do to procure relevance.

Presently God is tired of the likes of Eli and his sons. And He is raising a new generation that would please Him at all times and seek Him because of who He is, not because of money, miracles and, or fame.

Therefore, God is doing a major work in the body of Christ. He is raising a new set of leaders and workers. They are very different from the old.

They have a lot in common with David, the king of Israel. And they will do anything to please the Lord.

The trademark shall be the knowledge of God. Not the knowledge about God But the knowledge of God. They will rest so much upon the Knowledge of God rather than connections and networking. They will seek to know God. They will study the Word because they want to please God not men.

All our monuments and structures are collapsing like park of cards. And all these things are bound to fail. Only the Word of God will last to all generations.

The emphasis upon crowds, infrastructure and miracles are beginning to fail. The claims of salvations of hundreds of thousands in our meetings are quickly becoming unreasonable and meaningless.

The reason why David became so precious to God was because he made a deliberate effort to please God.

David took time to listen to God on every matter. He made a habit to sit in the presence of God from time to time. He was the first King in Israel who placed God’s searchlight upon his life.

David would not take any step in life until he heard the voice of God. Even when God had spoken, he demanded clarification from God.

The reason why David succeeded with God was anchored upon his personal relationship with Jehovah Rah: God, my shepherd. He saw Jehovah as his personal shepherd. And he lived his whole life based on this understanding.

The new generation God is raising could be called a David Generation.

Every one in this generation knows the voice of God. And they all recognise direction.

In case you have the same vision and you don’t know how to key into it. This book will set you on motion.

    Chapter One - The Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
