First and foremost I want to thank God for all increase and I want to acknowledge my love and gratitude to my beautiful mother Wanda K. Curry and my sister Milronda Lanier.  Without God’s will and their faith, agape love and their consistent sacrifices (even today), this collection of poetry would not have been possible to be reciprocated from the heart between all those who are most deserving.

MY APOLOGY

I’M SURE EVERY WOMAN THAT HAS EXPERIENCED A RELATIONSHIP WITH A MAN IN SOME WAY IS DESERVING OF AN APOLOGY.  MAJORITY OF MEN WANT TO APOLOGIZE BECAUSE DEEP INSIDE THEY KNOW THEY NEED TO APOLOGIZE BUT THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO APOLOGIZE.  SO I OFFER A SINCERE, MOST DESERVING APOLOGY ON BEHALF OF ALL MEN TO ALL  WOMEN.  GOD BLESS.

MY APOLOGY

As a man, I apologize to all  women.

You have been the source of our strength from the very beginning.

For better or worse you have stood by our side,

Continuing to bear the anguish and pain that’s become a way of life.

Without you, civilization would not exist,

You deserve appreciation and respect, if only for this.

I apologize, when in times of need we weren’t there,

For you or the kids as if we didn’t care.

It’s not that we don’t care and your love is not effective,

It’s just, we must learn from our priorities and place them  in

their proper perspectives.

Until then, we will continue to be led by our appetite,

Roaming as lion with no regard to what’s wrong or right.

As a man, I apologize as I accept the truth.

To all women, there can not be an us without you.

As men, we must love, respect and cherish your existence,

I know we’re falling short and there’s no way to deny this.

Women, continue to hold on for civilizations sake,
