This collection of poetry is a reflection of my journey in life for where I stand now. It is a representation of the knowledge I have encountered through various obstacles and from conversations and interactions. I have met people who have impacted my creative life and this is to pay tribute to everyone. Each poem takes on its shape and tells its own unique story.  With every major step in life comes lessons in between. This book showcases this trend by inserting small poetic gems and a glimpse inside of a man who was once broken by love as a poet who was saved by music and other creatives.

Acknowledgements

This collection of poetry is dedicated to the ones who are heavily involved in me creating it.

EastLaneDonte dropped his debut album the year, 2019. Listening to it from start to finish sent chills and excitement throughout my body. The title itself is so creative for the vibe the album set for me. I wanted to recreate that, but with poetry and no beat. I wanted the poems I chose to be a part of me and my journey as a poet. I selected poems that are dear and personal to me in some manner.

Secondly, there’s Ivelisse. I don’t even know what words to choose to describe how grateful I am for you. You make me even more excited about my writing after sharing it. The smile behind your voice makes me smile every time you tell me how much you enjoy my poetry, and ever since, I feel more and more compelled
