Lonely Wife Needs Something

Michael was in Mr. Bentley's office going over some papers when he heard his cell phone ring. He knew even without checking that it was his wife. She always seemed to need him whenever her husband was not around. She claimed that it was only she didn't want to distract him from Mr. Bentley's tasks but they both knew that was a lie. Mr. Bentley wouldn't have minded much if her wife needed Michael's help. If anything, he would have been glad to have him at her disposal any time she would have need for him. He was always concerned with making his wife as comfortable as she could be.

Michael did what her husband would have wanted and abandoned all his tasks to see what his dear wife needed. If he were right, it probably had to be something to do with the plumbing. She'd complained about it several times now and though he'd tried to get it fixed, the plumber didn't seem to find a problem. It was almost as if Mrs. Bentley had some other intentions that didn't involve plumbing and Michael would be lying if he said that he didn't want to get to the bottom of it.

He found her in her bedroom just like he'd expected to. Mrs. Bentley rarely had anywhere to go at this time of the morning. It would be until noon when she would meet up with her friends for drinks and some shopping. Michael had to admit that he felt sorry for her. He didn't think he could live with so little purpose himself. 

She was lying on their king sized bed with her eyes shut tightly. He had to wonder if she hadn't contacted him accidentally. She might have been lying on her phone when that had happened. However, the text had been pretty clear telling him that she had an emergency and needed him urgently. Though she seemed peaceful at the moment, Michael couldn't deny that there had to be something bothering her. She was always good with hiding her feelings. He'd come to learn that through her interaction with her husband. There were so many things Mr. Bentley couldn't see concerning his young wife. He did wish that she wouldn't text him like that though when her troubles were clearly small enough to sleep through. It made him think that she only called it an emergency to make him rush to her side like he spoilt brat that she was.

Mrs. Bentley, he called to her softly. 

He was still standing at the door too nervous to let himself in. He'd always found the beautiful woman to be quite intimidating and there was no telling what he would do wrong when the woman was dressed in flimsy clothing and sprawled across her bed.
