    Erotica - Isa Adam

Having Fun With The Guy Next Door

Bye Hun, Jack said planting a kiss on his wife's cheek. Eleanor merely started at her plate of eggs and bacon as if it were more interesting than her husband. As usual, Jack didn't notice his wife's lack of interest. He grabbed his briefcase and was out of the house faster than he'd come in last night as if there were places he would have rather been than with his wife. At least Joshua had the decency to pretend that she was the most interesting woman in the world.

Eleanor found herself rolling her eyes at her husband's departure. After all these years, he still thought that she was too stupid to realize what he was doing behind her back, but Eleanor knew it all. She knew about the women because he'd always come back home smelling like cheap perfume and with lipstick stains all over his shirt. She also knew about the drinking because he would come home smelling like a bar. She'd seen him do this repeatedly and so it should have come as no surprise that he had settled into the same routine as soon as they had moved into this new and much bigger house. She couldn't believe that this was the same man who'd promised to love her and always be faithful to her only six years ago. People clearly changed and not for the better.

Eleanor was disappointed in Jack. She had thought that this new neighborhood would signify a new beginning for them. She knew he'd broken up with his last girlfriend before they moved. She'd thought that Jack had finally felt bad for what he was doing to her and decided that a new start was in order. One where he would always try to do right by her. However, as soon as they'd moved here, he'd found another woman even more beautiful than the last. One that like the last Eleanor felt was much more attractive to her with her doe eyes, her shapely figure and platinum blonde hair. All a sharp contrast to her own boring black hair, black eyes and what she would occasionally describe as overall plain features though her husband would beg to differ. Her husband was a liar though and Eleanor would be a fool to trust anything that fell from his lips. If she had to guess, this new neighborhood was only or him to try and enhance his status. Look richer and more attractive to his clients and maybe even distract her from what a terrible person her husband was.

Jack was very good at distracting her. He'd buy her gifts occasionally and take her to all these fancy vacations where he would have no idea that she knew he was meeting up with more women behind his back. It was amazing how her husband had so little respect for her. That he thought he could cheat one her during a vacation and she would never know about it.

The question on anyone's mind would be why Eleanor still hadn't left her husband. After all, he was unfaithful, lied to her all the time and didn’t even deserve an ounce of her affection. It was clear to anyone that their attraction for each other had died long ago. It wasn't like; it had been in the beginning where they would come at each other with so much passion. Now Eleanor was lucky to feel anything at all for her husband. It had never been like that with Joshua though she feared that it would be one day.

She had thought of leaving Jack a few times. She felt the urge grow stringer now that she'd started her affair with Joshua. However, Eleanor was afraid. She had never been a very confident woman in the past. When Jack had proposed to her, she'd felt lucky. Like she was living a fairy tale that never came true for plain women like her. She'd never thought the of herself as the kind of woman to catch a man's eye. Especially a handsome man like Jack who women lined up to be with.  Even when they were still dating, she'd always felt like what they had was too good to be true and that she would wake up one day and find him gone. For some reason, she wished for that now. At least that way, she wouldn't have to deal with gathering the strength to leave him because it drove her more crazy each day.

Ma'am, the maid called her stirring Eleanor out of her thoughts.

What is it? Eleanor demanded. She hadn't been in the mood to talk to anyone ever since she'd moved into this house.

That neighbor you've been complaining about is outside again, the maid mentioned calmly. She was the one person who had gotten used to Eleanor and all her ramblings. She never showed any fear for her, so the other workers preferred to send her on errands.

Thank you, Eleanor replied suddenly feeling embarrassed suddenly.

Eleanor rushed outside to meet this intruder her maid had just told her about. If the woman was keen enough, she would have realized by now that Eleanor was not irritated by the man as she claimed she was. However, Eleanor wouldn't put it past her to know the truth. She had always been a smart woman knowing where to speak her mind and act like something wasn't going on under her nose.

"What are you doing here? Eleanor said once she lay her eyes on Joshua. He looked handsome today in his blue jeans and black button up shirt. She had to try hard not to let her mind wander as she watched him smile sweetly at her.

You told me to be here as soon as your husband left, he replied clueless to what she was trying to do, and she had
