Weekend was a time to kick back with friends and Rose was looking for something to do with her best friend Sam. 

She however had been feeling distant from her since she got a boyfriend. She had expected this to happen but thought it would be a gradual process.  Sam however had changed overnight from being as thick as thieves to not being reachable.

Sam took a minute to answer her and when she did she sounded apologetic just as Rose had suspected she would. She listened to her remorse filled words on the line and smiled.

The two friends left everything at a light night before Rose hang up the phone and went on to get bored. After spending a few minutes on her bed without saying anything, she decided to go out on her own.

She got to her feet and started going through her outfits looking for the perfect dress for the night. She was not sure where she would be heading that night or whether she would need to invite company.

She finally decided on a casual looking dress and matched it with a pair of boots and a bright scarf around her neck. After looking at her reflection in the mirror, she decided on not to wear the scarf and go with the dress and knee high boots.

The mention of Sam’s absence made her feel a bit lonely but she decided to brush it off almost immediately before replying to her friend.

Lisa hang up the phone and went on to seat back in her seat thinking about the night ahead. She thought about how much more fun it would have been with Sam next to her and admitted to herself that she actually missed her best friend.

The car drove past a busy night of people, all looking to go out and have a good time. She loved how everyone behaved in a very almost drunk way and this made her look forward to the night ahead.

Rose was within no time parked at the front of a club and went on to pay the cab driver before stepping out. Her friend Lisa had gone all out and she had nt expected anything else from her. She was known as an over the top kind of person and her splurging was expected.

A voice startled her and made her stop dead in her tracks. It sounded familiar and this was right after she had stepped out of the washroom and was slowly heading back to her seat.

She slowly followed the owner of the voice with her eyes and smiled after seeing who it was.

When did you get back? she asked before pulling away from her after giving him a tight hug.
