Best Strategies for Coping with Crisis (Learned After Three Weeks on a Ventilator): The ABC Book for Inner Strength & Well-Being

About this ebook
A guide for coping with crisis, including the mental stress and physical challenges associated with COVID-19 and other traumatic situations. After being critically ill with pneumonia for five weeks (three spent on a ventilator), Dr. Robin Inwald was told she had a tumor in her back that, without prompt treatment, would lead to paralysis. The trauma resulting from this experience and her recovery prompted the writing of this book and its workbook-style appendix. Using the letters of the alphabet, easy reminders are provided for how to lead a balanced life and maintain inner strength during and after traumatic/life-threatening challenges and events. Readers of Dr. Inwald's book comment:
"We are inside a world-wide crisis of stress management. Further, we are destined to be inside it for an indeterminate amount of time. This book needs to be on everyone's bedside table...Extraordinarily timely piece of work."
"Your book blew me away…It's amazing."
"I love your book. It's a forever 'go-to' book."
"Very powerful!"
"I absolutely love this book! I'm going through the exercises for myself and with my son who's going through some difficult times right now."
"What a positive book, especially in times like these. I enjoyed the tidbits of humor and especially laughed at "K" ("though maybe not by the same person").
"I have known Robin Inwald since the late 1990s. When I first met her, her cheerful demeanor belied all the loss and trauma she has experienced. As that was revealed to me gradually, I was impressed and inspired by her ability to cope and use humor to roll with the punches. Also, she is one of the smartest people I have ever met. She is one of my lodestones as I face my own challenges. Thanks to Robin distilling her hard-won wisdom into this book, she can become one of yours, too."

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my wonderful family and supportive friends (you all know who you are) with special thanks to my friend Bill Garrison. In 1997, Bill taught me A, D, M, N, S, T, U, & Y during my recovery from three weeks on a ventilator in a NYC hospital.
After 9-11, I reprinted this book to share with first responders in New York City.
On March 20, 2020, as California and New York State were put on pause
due to the coronavirus, this dedication was added for my friend, Jonathan Morales (2019 International Association of Chiefs of Police [IACP] Officer of the Year), whose bravery first inspired this new printing.
On March 28, 2020, a special dedication was added for my friend, mentor, and air quality/defective SPF insulation expert, Bernie Bloom, as he faces
